[dang].  I don't think I can handle another 3 days of this speculation.  I really wish Doc and Danny would stop talking about this stuff, because it is just becoming unbearable.

If he were ready to go, he would be playing on Friday, so lets not get too excited yet.

They most likely wouldn't comment about it if they weren't asked every 3 seconds.

Good point.  I am sure they keep saying this stuff just to shut the reporters up.  But it just causes them more grief in the end.

It's a two way street.  They could just say "no comment" I suppose.

So since Doc said that going on the trip is an indicator that he will play in Game 4, I'm really putting my hopes up and hope that I don't get disappointed. Game 5 would be fine, too, but that's only if New York makes it that far. Shaq definitely has to get at least one game in before the matchup with "The South Beach Talents".

Even if he doesn't play, it's still encouraging. Imo he'll play against Miami if not before then.

I have spoken, argument settled.

The when is Shaq gonna play gate is a rollercoaster. One day is he's playing thisgame then the next you hear he's questionable for the next week or two. I don't know what to think and what to believe. Ive come to the point where when Shaq is playing all the way until that final second in the finals and everyone in green is happy and jumping is when I'll believe it. I hope and wish him well and hope to see him help bring banner 18 back to the garden.

Yeah that wouldn't make me feel any better.  I'll take the optimism any day.  If Shaq really wasn't coming back I'm sure Danny wouldn't even be coming out of his house, never mind answering reporters.

Am I the only one thinking that I don't want Shaq to even attempt to play in this Knick series?

I'd rather keep him in the vault and bring him out when needed (finals) or in an emergency situation.

I feel he could and would play if we were down 0-2.

Give Shaq a cortisone shot and a pat on the bum and he'll be good to go.

The thing I didn't get about Doc's comment yesterday is that I don't think Shaq would miss being at Friday's game in person for anything.  He is the type of guy who loves NY and even in street clothes would love to experience the atmosphere in such a big game in MSG.

So, until we hear otherwise, I am going to assume he is just there because he wanted to travel with the team.
