Best part of the story:

Quote
While Perk, Rondo and Jackson sat playing cards, Brian took on his brother in a game of NBA 2K on Xbox. Justin picked the Clippers, who had one of his favorite players, fellow wedding guest Ricky Davis. Davis happened to be in the room. Video Game Ricky proceeded to drop 50 points on Brian. Every time Video Game Ricky scored, Actual Ricky did a little dance.

I read this yesterday. Good story, makes you miss Perk even more.

Man!  That is the coolest thing I have ever read, BAR NONE!

I always loved the Perk Is A Beast site, but never realized how the realtionship (or that it even existed as it does) developed.

Perk is not just a BEAST, but a flat out great person.

And how lucky are those guys?  Wow!

Great link, TP.

All trade debates aside, Perk was a true Celtic and apparently a great guy, and we'll miss him.  Hope he does well in OKC.

Great story.  However, this is the reason I can't have too much respect for the PIAB guys:

I don't think I've ever met less mature individuals than the people that run that site.  Great stuff from Perk, and I've got to think that they showed a different side to Perk than they have in other contexts, but seriously, I have more respect for CelticsThug.

+1. Didn't really wanna put the dirty laundry out there in public, but +1. The fact that the deadspin story goes out of their way to say these guys are royal immature people says volumes.

Haha.  GG, as a poster, made some pretty quality videos.  I hadn't thought of him in years.

I never really understood the CT craze, but man, he caught a wave of celebrity and rode it.

On an entirely different note, if Kobe ever pointed his finger at me on the court in his "lecturing mode" like how dare you ever touch me crap...I would point my finger the same way and about 1/8th of an inch away form his nose while I was talking to him.

Once again, Ray is pulling Rondo away from Kobe.

The appropriate move would be to have a "Forehead to forehead" conversation with Kobe's smug persona.

Why do more people not flatten this guy.

I remember this play very clearly, when Kobe started wagging his finger we all just walked away - when we should have placed our foreheads on his to discuss the matter.

Kendrick Perkins play on Kove a few Sundays agao where he literally put Kobe in a headlock was the type of play you need to make on the lakers all night. As was the play where Denver flattened Pau Gasol as he was going up for a dunk.

Interesting tidbit...

OKC and Denver both won those games.
