I don't really expect much of a reply, but I needed to vent. When the Celtics when on a run towards the end of the third quarter and went up by like 10 points, out of nowhere Mike says something along the lines of, "The Celtics are going to win this by 25"!
Even my wife, who was playing on the computer in the room head shot up. Would he say nice no hitter to a pitcher in the 7th inning?
It was right after that te Knicks went on a 15-2 run and the game went to the wire. What is wrong with the guy? He's been an announcer for 30 years. Does he know nothing about jinxing?
Thanks for the space to vent and Tommy, next time he says something like that, smack him.

I'd love to be able to watch Mike and Tommy broadcast these games.

Instead, I have to listen to Marv and Steve fawn over Carmelo Anthony. I'm a little embarrassed for them, to be honest.

I was thinking the same thing. What was weird is that is very out of Gorman's character to saying something like that.

No kidding. I could tell he really thought it was going to happen.

Tommy has been teaching him the ways of the jinx (and the reverse jinx) for years now. You think hed know better!

Steve Kerr actually said something really similar.  He said the Knicks are going to have to scramble to try and keep the score respectable

I'm on board.  I was very surprised to hear him say it -- not so much regarding jinx, but just that it was so eary and seemed so out of character for him to be laying out that kind of prediction.  I too noted that as the moment the tide turned for NY.

It is out of character for Gorman, but he hates Melo and loses composure sometimes talking about him

Quite honestly, I'm disappointed that the C's didn't at least go up by 15, or at least stay up by 5.

But considering the topics blaming this player what not, it's only natural our own play-by-play announcer is thrown into the mix.  ;)

tell you what though, I had this constant feeling that the C's should have been up by a lot more than they were.  It felt like we were winning by a ton and we just weren't.  That always worries me.

TP   Agree 100%   I'd love to have Mike and Tommy but CSN blacks out the game here so I have to watch the network guys.  UGH!
