I wouldn't mind seeing Wafer in there at all. I'd alos like to see Murphy a little bit.

I wouldn't mind a lineup of

JO
KG
Green
Wafer
Rondo

in spurts

I disagree as well that West has sucked.  I think Delonte although not scoring much right now, is bringing stability to the 2nd unit.  I think as the playoffs continue he will find his groove a bit more and start putting up some bigger numbers.  He already is a defensive pest / force and brings good energy...

However, I also want to see some minutes from Von in this series.  We need to add some scoring punch to the bench minutes.  The lack of bench scoring and rebounding is why these games have been close.  Get VW 5-10 min and get him integrated into a role, any role.  He has improved his D as the year went along and at least has more experience in our D system than some of the other newbies.

The perfect time to do it against the Knicks who don't play great help D.  We need to give these bench players time to warm up in the playoffs otherwise they aren't going to be effective at all when the opponents get even tougher.  We need to find more minutes for VW, Nenad, and Green in this series to know if they deserve more minutes later in the playoffs.  We know what BBD can do, and what he can't.  Plus he is more effective with less minutes as well.  I don't understand using an 8 man rotation against the Knicks.

Delonte West is bringing "stagnance" to the 2nd unit. Not stability. It's not like West is out there reigning in a bunch of gunners or something. He's playing with no energy out there and as a result neither is the rest of the bench. Honestly I'd rather bring in Arroyo off the bench for a few min and see if he can change the tempo a little better than West.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Delonte is certainly running our offense poorly. That's why I prefer to play him next to Pierce rather than Allen when he's in there. Hopefully Doc will recognize.

TP,you'd think...especially after the starters had built a 12pt.lead that seemed to have dwindled away while the second unit was on the court.Hopefully Doc will realize they might need more fire power when that unit is on the floor.

OK, but would you give him as short a leash as you seem to be giving West?

As long as it's in the right setting, sure I'd love to see Wafer in there....the guy brings energy.

I'll never forget how he came in during our road visit to Portland...those 4 pts of his came at just the right time, and it seemed as if he was the fastest player on the court at times.

The sad thing with injuries is that he had worked himself into our rotation, then he went and hurt himself..

Wow, I respectfully disagree with you there.  Although I don't mind Carlos, he isn't anywhere near the player that West is on both sides of the ball.

West may not have played his best in the last two games, but he is miles ahead of Carlos in being able to attack the basket and get his own shot.  Those are things we really need from the bench guys right now.  Also DW is a good defensive player, while Carlos would def be a liability on D in the playoffs, too slow, too small.  I think adding Carlos to that mix would just make the bench's problems worse.

I actually think he's bringing both, ironically.  But, lots of players are stagnant offensively and still are incredibly useful.  Think James Posey 2008.  They can be important players, but just need to be paired with the right combination of offensive players.  When we put Delonte out on the court together with Baby, Green, and Krstic, then we have 4 players on the court who can't create for themselves NOR for other players.  The combination is what brings stagnance, not just Delonte.  Play Delonte with Pierce and Wafer more and Delonte will provide stability.  Play Green with Rondo more.  Those combinations will solve a lot of stagnance problems, IMO.

I would play Wafer but only in the second quarter if we have a little bit of a lead and a short leash.  Not in the second half unless if it's a blowout.

Well, it is a tantalizing prospect to have Rondo, Wafer, and Green out there on the floor together.  They all seem to really excel at pushing the pace and getting down the floor more than most of the other guys on the team.  I think we lose a lot defensively though.

I like this line-up too.

The defensive concerns, while not deniable, will be offset by the offensive contributions.

We just need that second unit to maintain the lead. I think this unit could do it, because they will be able to score. Even with DWest in, instead of RR, we have even more shooters and almost as much pace.

bench is killing us. I'd wanna see Wafer in there too just for a shot of energy, and i want Doc to stop with the Green/BBD frontcourt, which can't rebound a lick. Put Murphy instead of leaving either BBD or Green in there, because at least he has some rebounding acumen. having a lineup of Murph-BBD-Green wouldn't be bad either.

Sadly, I don't believe Doc has the balls to play Wafer.  He likes sticking with what worked three years ago and hasn't developed anything other than that with his talented bench.

I'd also like to see Troy Murphy get some of BBD's minutes.  Maybe like 5-10 min a game.

This.
Pretty much, I'm down for anything that takes minutes away from Glen Davis.
