Jeff Green needs the endeavor and heart of Gerald wallace

boston needs to embrace jeff green more because whether you like it or not perkins isnt coming back. kid just needs confidence and what a better way than to get the crowd behind him

Come on!  This is Boston!  When one of or beloved gets traded, we don't embrace the new guy.
We design to judge too severely, we are overcritical, ostentatious, and intolerant.  We scrutinize their every move.  If they play well, we are skeptical, brooding over it.  If they play poorly or fail to live up to expectation we rant.  Then if that is not enough, We cut them just to see if they bleed.  


Jeff Green is a multi-talented individual.  Be patient Boston.  Embrace him. 
Accentuate the positive, so he can eliminate the negative.

One of the announcers touched on this during the game, and it's surprising that fans gloss over when it comes to Jeff Green: he had to make serious adjustments when he came to Boston. 1.) Specifically, him going from being a starter to coming off the bench - I've heard a lot of NBA players comment on how different both roles are and how difficult it is togo from starting everynight to coming off of the bench. 2.) Playing a ton of SF minutes instead of PF - obviously, he's a natural SF. But in OKC, he started at PF and has done so for many years. 3.) In OKC, he wasn't asked to guard the best perimeter players during games. That was Thabo Sefolosha's job. But here Green is, trying to D up Melo. 4.) OKC was a good team, but the stakes in Boston are HIGHER. Going from a fanbase that was just happy to make the playoffs a season ago to one that EXPECTS a championship is a different type of pressure.

Honestly, I think Green is a VERY talented player who the fans can be hard on sometimes. I do think the kid is going to be an asset for us in the near future. So far, I've been impressed with how he's handled everything. By all accounts, he's a hardworker and a good teammate - yes, we'd like to see it come together on the floor for him, but his time is coming. Trust that.

Sorry for the rant, but all of the "Jeff Green sucks" comments that have been floating around were starting to annoy me.
