Thread title says it all. Just unbelievable the degree of fight that this team has in them, and how they can manage to win these kinds of games, even when they seem to be in serious trouble.

They are totally in playoff mode right now.

They definitely need to work on closing out quarters better, though. They can't be giving away such nice advantages that they worked so hard to get.

From a purely entertainment value, it is exciting.

But I am far from impressed overall.

I am dumbfounded by their execution for the first 47 minutes of both games, and love their effort in the final minute.

It won't matter though if they are down 8 with 35 seconds to go. They need a better effort throughout a full game if they plan on playing in June.

I want to chalk it up to the opposition, that they see Billups in a suit and Amar'e not on the bench, but if they are still hungry, still bitter about last season, they would stomp this team and show everybody they don't belong on the same court as us.

I can't take it anymore ... I love/hate this time of year ... BUT I REALLY HATE WHEN DONNY MARSHALL COMPLETELY CALLS OUT THE CELTICS ON CSNNE AFTER A "GRIND IT OUT VICTORY" AND LABELS THEM NON-CONTENDORS. Thanks for ripping my heart out Donny ... TRY TALKING THAT MESS WHEN TOMMY'S AROUND.  >:(

What killed us tonight was the Knicks getting so many [dang] rebounds. They killed us on the boards, and they had like 20+ offensive rebounds.

at this point nobody is looking like a contender who cares what donny says even though i didnt see what he said or the context of it

i mean are the lakers contenders they lost to the hornets at home by 10 and hornets are without David West

Bulls struggling vs a 37 win team

Spurs lose to the grizz

I like the celtics being in these close games and winning them with these clutch plays, its like a real life practice

i want to see the celtics blow out the knicks at least once the next two games though, like 15-25 point blowout

Good teams find a way to win no matter how ugly the game is.

Hey, with or without Amar'e and Billups, I doubt we get crushed on the boards AND 'Melo is on fire like tonight.

Everybody should be very pleased that the Celtics are winning these ugly games. If you ask me, if makes them more prepared than if they win due to blowouts.

The Celtics have been winning this kind of game since Red was coaching.   Every game will not be a blowout.  This kind of game has been a step to  many championships.

IMO, Blowouts lead to letdowns.  Scratching and fighting for wins makes the team hungrier to get more wins, instead of just expecting wins and coasting.

It's not the Knicks I'm worried about... It's those silly refs, making silly calls...

I couldn't agree more! The playoffs is a completely different animal. What's important is we get the wins.

Here's to Shaq coming back healthy and our bench stepping up!!

playcalling and execution
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.
