Rondo had a season-high 30 points tonight, and more impressive than the production to me was the way in which he was scoring.  Rondo was playing with aggression and "with speed", as Doc likes to say.  He was the guy who was carrying us for much of this game, and he deserves major props.

I agree, he was attacking the matadors every chance he could, and came up with impressive layups or kicked out which led to open shots somewhere.

Not only a season-high, but a career playoff-high as well.

I thought his defense was much better as well.

Great game by Rondo.

This is precisely why the hate on Rondo was simply unwarranted after his near triple double performance in the last game.

He was incredible tonight. [dang], I've been hard on Rondo this season (not on this forum, but elsewhere), and I gotta say that I'm so happy to be wrong. This guy goes big when the stakes are at their highest.

There is a difference between knowing what he is capable of and him actually going out there and showing it.

We know he is an All-Star who can take over games. But we have also seen he can be a non-factor.

When Rondo has a great game, that usually means the Celtics are playing well.

He's had two different types of game thus far in the playoffs, but fortunately enough, we eked out wins both times.

Rondo WAS the offense for many stretches of the game.

everybody in the world has been begging him to attack the basket like this ALL YEAR, not just a few times a game.

This is HOW Rose gets his points , diving and fliging his body at the basket time after time, like koby and MJ before him,. IF you take it to the rim enought , good things will eventually happen.

If Rondo FINALLY has the mindset to play his type of ball , he posts up really good on guards.  We, can go alot further.

TP for the thread, nice to see some positive things written about the team (Rondo in particular).

I thought him and Ray were huge + KG at the end. Hope he continues his aggressive play in New York.

  • Rondo = Good
If Rondo could play with that kind of aggressive mentality every night this team would be scary.

I just don't think that's physically possible for him, though.

Perhaps the switch exists, at least for Rondo.
