It is a baaaaaaaaad matchup for us. BBD is too un-athletic and cannot guard on the perimeter. Davis also cannot score inside on the NYK because he cannot get above the rim.

We would be better served playing KG and Green together when JO is not in the game. Hell, I think Murphy may be a better fit against the Knicks.

Agreed.  Give me more Jeff Green for the love of all that is holy.  I think even Krstic would be preferable in there.

With Shaq out, I have no objection to seeing him play some center.  But there was no excuse for him playing the whole fourth when JO only had played 20 minutes.  We were getting killed on the boards and inside.

When Jeffries is blowing by you, yeah, you can't help us. I know he came out to help because Melo was on fire, but you can't let that guy of all people to get to the rim like that.

Amare will destroy him.

Might at well go small with Green at PF.

Maybe it is time to see what Pavlovic can do to backup Pierce for 8 minutes or so.

The guy frustrates me at times, too - but he was 2nd leading rebounder tonight.

I can't single him out. I can't figure for the life of me why KG has not shot well yet.

But Glen? He did not look bad to me, at all.

I agree. He typically has a strong role in the playoffs and he still does here, but his minutes seem disproportionate to what JO and Green could provide.

Baby conceded about 4 offensive rebounds by my count and was consistently exploited defensively.

Not sure if you are serious. Unless you mean he didn't look bad, he looked like the worst player on the court in that kind of way.

But - we won?

Tell you what - I'd be ripping KG if we lost tonight, myself...he couldn't take advantage of Amar'e on Sun or  - wait for it -

Jared Jefferies, tonight?

I thank God for his baskets down the stretch and his defense, but he certainly could've exploited that matchup...

I'm just happy for the win.

Look - I know Glen isn't perfect, and he is exploited sometimes, but it's funny how he is the whipping boy for this team....last year it was Sheed....year before it was TA...now Glen has seemingly taken on that role....and in a win, too?

C'mon now..

His confidence has dipped since the leg issue and maybe he's not nearly as mobile as the start of the season, but I've seen him and variations of our bench disappear and then turn around and win important games. So we'll see.

OT - but Sheed absolutely deserved all the ire thrown his way last season. He was a massive disappointment.

6 boards in about 25 minutes is nothing to write home about.

The way Green played tonight, I'm not sure that that's a better option.

As for Sheed? Yeah - during the regular season he was not effective.

But the playoffs? Boy did he show up..won a few games for us...gave us a great effort in that game 7 vs LA...played great post defense against Dwight.

And yes - I'd write home about those 6 rebs, myself...no one else could muster up that many except for KG.

I'm not in love with Baby, but I think we undervalue his presence on the floor at times. I'd rather have had JO close out the game (I am a Jeff Green apologist, but even I didn't want to see him out there tonight), but you have t admit, for all the frustration Baby creates within our fan base, he does come up with timely buckets, rebounds, and a defensive play or two that makes you wonder why he can't do them more often. The other thing is--he hasn't lost us a game yet, and he hasn't been jacking up hot garbage with no discretion like he did in the last 20+ games of the regular season.
