Kristic is a good player.  Play him more minutes please.

By the way, Glen Davis had a terrible Game 1.  Play him less minutes please.

If Shaq is out for later series, then we will see more of Krstic.  I just don't think he is a great matchup against the Knicks.

Baby was terrible offensively, but he played good D on Amare when he covered him.  Amare abused KG.  He's usually a good playoff performer.  I think his poor game was due to his running his mouth before the game.  :P I think he'll be better in game 2.

That and he's a bit slow at the moment with the strain from the other day and now a bone bruise he suffered a couple of days ago.

I don't know, I would've given him more than a chance than he got. He drew a foul that wasn't called which would have been nice to have.

If not him, I'd put Murphy in along with Baby and Green. I don't like the unit of Baby at the 5.

Yeah, I have no problem with Baby at the 5, I just don't like Green at the 4.

Nenad Krstic should not play another minute in this series if Mike D'Antoni keeps that big man rotation (starting Turiaf and using him against JO + backup big men of J.Jeffries and Shawne Williams).

Krstic's minutes should be tied to Shelden Williams. If Williams gets off the bench, then put Krstic in.

But under no circumstances should Krstic be used against J.Jeffries or Shawne Williams ... playing Jeff Green at the PF against those players is a far more effective tactic. This is a series where J.Green has huge value as a power forward. Use him there. Take advantage of his talents. Don't minimize them.

I was extremely unhappy to see Krstic on the court in Game One and desperately do not want to see him in future games. He is a situational sub in this series and should not be used for regular rotation minutes.

OP here.  After reading, i am changing my tune.  More Murphy at the 5 if necessary.  More Green at the 4.  But above all else, less Glen Davis.

I'll admit i hid my intentions with the "more Kristic" title.  My true intentions are to say that I want Glen Davis to play Less minutes, and at this point, I hardly care who eats them up.  Maybe Shaq will?

I'd love to see more Krstic under the following circumstances:

1. We're up 20
2. We're up 30
3. We're up 40+
4. Jermaine, Baby, Jeff Green, Troy Murphy, Shaq and KG's talents get abducted by tiny cartoon aliens.

If Krstic really isn't healthy, then yea, but apart from that, he's a much better option at center than BBD.

I know you don't like Big Baby, but the only reason we'd bench him in favor of Troy Murphy is if we wanted to lose games.  Murphy looks cooked.

Baby shot terribly last night, but he played pretty good defense and was okay on the boards.  The misses hurt, but the team actually played well with him in there; they were +13 on the night, compared to -11 with JO in the game.

I disagree. You need to use size advantage against this team because Green at the 4, particularly with Davis at the 5 brings us little rebounding. Jeffries had 9 rebounds in 19 minutes for example.

I think Krstic can take advantage of being fed in the low post against this team, one of the few times I actually like him in that role. Plus he has modest success rebounding the ball against them, he can punish them in the offensive glass. Also drawing fouls against smaller players.

If not Krstic, then bring Murphy in.

Also, I'd go Green at the 3, Pierce at the 2 whenever possible. So what you do is start posting Pierce and Green, and then have our bigs stretch the floor.

The ideal option is being able to use KG again, but you want to save him for when Stat is in the floor.

Bigger problem for Krstic than a match-up situation is that he's currently slowed by a few minor injuries.

KG has never guarded Amare well. For whatever reason, Amare gets what he wants and all KG can do normally is hope that he misses.

He's been respecting his speed too much. He needs to guard him closer and force him to put the ball on the floor. JO needs to rotate quicker for the help. If not that, at least be at a better position to contest the shot.

Funniest comment of the day.

Amare hit 6 of 9 jumpers tonight, mostly against KG. He is a 47% shooter from range, and doesn't draw fouls from there. If KG holds him to jumpshots, we win.

Amare took 5 shots at the rim all night. His fourth quarter drives/conversions were the result of slow rotations by JO.

Amare also turned it over four times, and only took 6 free throws.

Amare got his, no doubt, but he did not abuse KG.
