Pretty poor game by boston's standards but what a way to finish by ray.

These games can really build a teams character and really pump them up.

What do you guys think about glen Davis and Jeff green? I personally think although both played poorly, glen was just terrible in parts and would like to see their minutes swapped.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

Celtics need more JO, less Glen Davis, a little bit more Green.

I thought Jeff played well, and Davis was pure crap.

Doc is not using Jeff well, he played fairly good defense on Anthony, but played a lot out of position with Davis at the 5 which is what we want to avoid at all cost.

I think this sort of win can shape this team.  JO stepped up and earned Doc's trust to such an extent that he kept him out there until the last offensive possession.

And JO can provide much of what Perk provided on the defensive end and more than he can on the offensive end.

Also, getting Ray going is going to be huge.

Getting Ray going in the 2nd half was huge, hopefully they will give him more looks early on.

Also, I'm starting to wonder if Doc will ever know how to play Green. I thought his D on Melo was phenomenal but he simply didn't get enough shots on offense. Instead, Doc stuck with Pig Baby even when he was awful... I hope Doc doesn't stick to his familiarty thing, having more Green and less Baby will be huge going forward but I'm not sure Doc will make the adjustment.

Baby is such a liability on the defensive glass aswell...Jared jeffries should not be getting tip ins.

Well, if/when Shaq is back, hopefully Davis is relegated to solely play the backup 4.

Even if that doesn't happen for a while, the fact that JO got minutes in the last 6 minutes over Davis (except for the last 30 seconds or so) does speak volumes.  We may start to see significantly less of BBD and KG out there together, even with Shaq in street clothes.

He's too short.

He should NOT be playing 1v1 against Turiaf or Amare, he was getting killed.

Kristic is soft but at least he's a lot taller.

Not the way you want to have to win it, but got to like shutting them down (34 points) in the 2nd half. Hopefully the energy they found tonight starts to mold their character for this playoff run.

Top 2 seeds in the West lose; Bulls almost get bit; Magic go down.  Very relieved that the C's pulled this out.

Would like to see the Heat get challenged in game 2.

Yes.  Jermaine should be playing as many minutes at the 5 as possible.

Yeah, but like an old Studebaker, getting Ray going seems to be getting harder and harder to do.

considering this has been 'snakebite' weekend for the top seeds, we should feel fortunate that the C's got the win.

would love to see Chicago lose a couple of games to make them work in this first series.

It’s only hard to do when Rondo dribbles for 10 + seconds at the top. When they decided they needed to get Ray going in the second half they got him shots. When they devote themselves to doing it they get them. Then it opens up everyone else. We have to stop having Rondo pass the ball to KG before half court as they come up the floor, waiting 6-7 seconds and then getting it back from him. KG isn’t going to dribble more than just over half court, and the play just wastes an additional 7-8 seconds off the clock. Dumb play that Rondo for some reason does too often. Not sure what is up with that idea...

A win like this can absolute shape a series. An absolute huge win for the Celtics tonight. Huge!

Jermaine O'neal was unbelievable!

I imagine they do this to give Rondo the "triple" threat.  He can pass, or he can take his man off the dribble.  If he's already dribbling, and attempts a pass, he has to do something.  This way if he sees a pass isn't there at the last second, he isn't stuck in no mans land, and can still take his man off the dribble.  It also doesn't take 7 seconds off the clock either...
