I saw this over at basketball reference today. It has something for everyone, KG is rated out as probably the best defender in the league and Rondo is also rated highly.

It also mentions that he's the 4th worst PG they considered when it came to "blow-bys" for his man. Ahead of only Ty Lawson, Tony Parker, and Derek Fisher.

I'm just going to say that I still don't think they've come up with a good way of measuring defense.

For instance, we see that Derrick Rose has one of the best Opponent PERs in the league, but he's rated pretty low on this scale.   Meanwhile, guys like Mike Miller and Rudy Fernandez rank among the very best defensive SGs in the league.  I don't buy it.

Similarly, Elton Brand and DeJuan Blair rank as elite defenders; I've watched a lot of both of them, and that just doesn't seem to jibe with my observations.  Similarly, is DeAndre Jordan really the third best defensive center, with Dwight Howard sixth?

I'M THE SILVERBACK GORILLA IN THIS MOTHER... AND DON'T NONE OF YA'LL EVER FORGET IT!

KP / Giannis / Turkuglu / Jrue / Curry
Sabonis / Brand / A. Thompson / Oladipo / Brunson
Jordan / Bowen

Agree 100%.

I do, however, like that "blow-by" stat.  Some of us have been pointing that out about Rondo for years.  It's nice to finally have a stat to back up what we see.
