John Wall? Really? Not too long ago Pierce was consistently in the top 5 in jersey sales, though staying in the top 15 is not too shabby after all these years.

Somewhere Chris Bosh is crying because his jersey isn't tied for #1 with LeBron.

I am guessing Rondo and Rose will switch places next year too.

I doubt Rose will climb much higher. Rose has a very empty personality despite being an amazing baller.

The other players on that list have more definable characters....the John Walls, Dwight Howards, Kobes...etc,

I don't agree.
People love this guy as the anti-villain to Lebron.
If they win the championship or he wins MVP he will have millions of sales from the bandwagon effect.
He'll be number 1 with Lebron for quite a few years to come I think.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Lebron#1 sales says a lot about fans.

To me it says that he's very popular and, more importantly, is wearing a new jersey this year.  I'd expect Carmelo to climb the list next year for the same reason.

He won't pass Kobe or LeBron, it just won't happen.  The thing that helps LeBron is that his Miami career is still young.  Many people still don't have the Miami LeBron jersey, they have the Cleveland one and they need to get the new one.  LeBron will be #1 for quite some time.  It'll probably be the only thing he wins for a while.
do it

Assuming that you are or were an All-NBA level player, the best way to increase your jersey sales is to change teams (LeBron, Carmelo) or to change your number (Kobe).  That way all of your fans with old jerseys have to buy new ones in addition to all of the new fans with no jersey.

Carmelo will be near the top next year because he has a new team. If he really wants to stay there, he should change his number in a couple years.

(Also playing in a big market helps too.  Although Durant is #7)

I'm shocked Rondo outsold Rose especially since Rose started to get more notice around the December/January time. I would think since he was a All Star starter or in the big city like Chicago with a dedicated fan base he would out do him, but he didn't and I'm surprised. Truthfully though as shocking as it is, Rondo is more known than Rose by people who don't play basketball and this is from a person not from Boston. When I was in high school, the people who knew basketball  knew of Rose and about two or three girls because of his looks, but the majority of the people who were non basketball fans always brought up Rondo even if they didn't know his position. They just knew his name and the team he was from. My younger sister, my mom and her clients since she works at home knows of Rondo and just found out about Rose. It maybe because they watched the playoffs and found out about him or because of the big 3.

Exactly

Even if he wins the MVP and the title this year he will just switch position with Rondo.

No way they out sell Kobe and Lebron.  Even though I am not a fan of either Kobe and Lebron they are worldwide brands.

No way Rose can leapfrog them.
