First of all, if Allen is considered a "decent" rebounder, than Green should be considered  a good rebounder, considering Green's career rebound rate is 9.4 and Allen's is 8.3. This season, Green is at 8.5 and Allen is at 7.7.

Tony Allen's a 6'4" SG/SF that usually plays SG.

Jeff Green's a 6'9" SF/PF.  He *should* be rebounding a lot more than TA (and a lot more than he does).

If I'm picking one player, it's probably Jeff Green.  But, it's close.  I tell you, I'd feel a lot better going up against Wade/LeBron with TA on my side.  Ain't seen a [dang] thing from Jeff Green to indicate that he's anything to speak of at all on the defensive end.

After how many seasons for Tony Allen being in green?

After all the injuries and bone headed plays?

There would be "good TA" and "evil TA".....

I'd rather have Jeff Green, but I am a huge Tony supporter.

Tony was our whipping boy before. He was never consistently healthy, and he was never consistently productive.

TA had his defensive moments in the playoffs, but that was it.

TA hasn't done much for the C's in the regular season at any point in the Big 3 era.

And this is with all the years of being on the team...building team chemistry....something Green has stacked against him.

At least TA competes and isn't soft.  We seem to have too many wimps right now.  You always knew TA was in the game.  Not the case with Green.

One of the reasons Celtics didn't pursue Tony Allen aggressively, He and Rondo suffocate the spacing on the floor. Tony Allen is best served playing along side a Point-Guard who can shoot like Mike Conley. First and foremost, It takes pressure off him as shooter. He can then flourish on other areas such as a slasher, rebounder, defender, hustler, energy player..... All the little that can make a huge impact. Everything Celtics are missing right now. Celtics needed role players to do the dirty work for the Big3+Rondo but gotten pseudo-star in Jeff Green.

This is getting weird, really...  :o

I was a big TA fan, and I wish he was still a Celtic, but he wanted more than the Celtics offered. Now the TA bashers would take him over Jeff Green? hahahaha

Jeff Green starts to worry me, he seems to lack confidence, but he's a talented and phisycally gifted player. Plus, he's on the Celtics, so it's a no-brainer. I want the players in green, and will support them.

Kendrick didn't want what they offered him, and he's got better money and more recognition in OKC. Congrats, big fella. I miss him as I miss TA, but they made their choice.

Nate, Quis, Luke and Semih didn't have an option, and I would take them back at any time, specially Semih. But until that moment, Sasha, Troy, Carlos, Nenad and Jeff are my players. No doubt.

We're talking about Jeff Green, not Gerald Green... come on, give the kid a break!!

Wow, right now it's 16-16. I'm surprised!!! Loving all the Tony love though. :)

Easy: Tony Allen right now, Jeff Green starting in October.

Exactly. Tony knows how to fit in. Green needs more time, and has more talent/size.

But wouldn't Delonte fill that role? TA thrived next to West back in '07. That would be some defensive backcourt. But we let TA go before we got West (or Green, obviously).

Jeff Green is the better player, no doubt.

Jeff Green without a second of hesitation.  At least on this particular team, I have no interest in Tony Allen's trick or treat style.

If TA came with Perk, TA.

Otherwise...

Green has just not played as well as he should be capable of.

Tony creates chaos on the defensive end, he knows the system, and he’s anything but passive. I'll take Tony.
