There are too many Celtics who were pretty good players before they came here and then when they get here take huge steps backwards or fall of the map.Jeff Green is the latest most extreme example. He has gone from future all-star to "who?" in about 40 days. Before him Nate Robinson went from 6th man of the yearish to a cruddy cruddy pg.Rasheed Wallace went from a very productive big man to a very unproductive big man, except at jacking up horrid 3s until FINALLY he had a good 3 and a half games when it was most needed. Big whoop.Shaq was doing fine till he dropped off the Earth and onto a milk carton due to injuryJermaine O'Neal was before that.Marquis Daniels before that. You can say that these guys had minutes reduced or whatever, but these were at positions of need and concern. The playing time was there. You could say we were a year too late on some of these guys, but what's the excuse for Jeff Green? The only one I could say beat expectations to me is Krstic. We have other guys I didn't expect lots out of, but they had every opportunity to step up due to other guys failing and they never did.Arroyo and West aren't doing much. Neither is Pavlovich. One would expect to get lucky on one of these guys one of these days and it's not happening.
I think that Jeff Green's issues stem from his attitude. He doesn't seem to care about the outcome of our season. I've been seriously unimpressed.
