If there was a NBA only HOF, who would be in it.  I figured that each team on average would have 1 HOF player every 15 seasons or so.  Including this year there have been 1,273 seasons in the BAA/NBA, which would yield a HOF of about 85.  Now clearly, 30 or so players that would be in the HOF are still active or not yet retired for 5 seasons, so that would shrink down the list to about 50.

With that in mind this would be my NBA HOF.

First 10 inducted (in no particular order)
Bill
Bird
Cousy
Wilt
Jordan
Kareem
Magic
Oscar
West
Hakeem

Second 10 inducted (in no particular order)
Havlicek
K. Malone
M. Malone
Stockton
Gervin
Dr. J
Pettit
Robinson
Zeke
Baylor

Next 30 inducted (in no particular order)
Cowens
McHale
Parrish
Heinsohn
Sharman
Walton
S. Jones
Monroe
Rodman
Mikan
Hayes
Tiny
Pippen
Barry
Thurmond
Reed
Worthy
Drexler
Ewing
Maravich
Lucas
Frazier
McAdoo
Cunningham
Worthy
Dumars
Arizin
Lanier
Schayes
Nique

Obviously there can be some debate on some of the last 30 in.  These are the 20 players I believe will be in the HOF upon retirement or 5 years out (or at least should be if they keep on the same pace)

Shaq
Pierce
R. Allen
Kobe
Lebron
Garnett
Duncan
Nash
Wade
Dirk
Kidd
Payton
Iverson
Durant
Howard
Webber
Carter
Ming
Gasol
McGrady

These 10 players are not yet fully established (at varying degrees), but could get to the HOF or players like them could get there

Rose
Boozer
Bosh
Paul
Anthony
D. Williams
Amare
Love
Rondo
Griffin

I'd also have a coach section.

Inducted with the first 10 players
Red
Phil

Inducted with second 10 players
Riley
Daley
Wilkins

Inducted with final 30 players
Adeleman
Pop
Holzman
Sloan
Nelson
Brown
Kundla

I never really considered Worthy to be that level of player. His resume is based entirely on the finals MVP and playing with Magic for his career. You must feel strongly the other way because he made your list not once but twice. Decent list though.

Hmm...  NBA-only, does Bill Walton really belong in?  He only had two good NBA years, really, and in the rest he was either a role player or was injured.

Take away his absolutely amazing college career, and I don't think he deserves to get in, MVP or not.  Two good years just doesn't cut it.

I'M THE SILVERBACK GORILLA IN THIS MOTHER... AND DON'T NONE OF YA'LL EVER FORGET IT!

you may be right, but hard to overlook a MVP.
