So the game of the season is tomorrow, if we beat the heat we would most likely have the HCA over them in the 2nd round as we could finish 1-1 in the last two and still be tied with the heat, good that Doc rested JO last night , he doesn't need to play in any back 2 backs.
If we lose against the Heat I expect and hope Doc rest our starters the remaining two games regardless of what happens between Lakers-OKC game.

If both Celtics won and OKC beat the Lakers that's two birds with one stone. Having HCA vs both Miami and LA is great.

I would love to have homecourt against Miami. They are the only team that I am concerned about homecourt with.

The Lakers I am not as concerned with. The Celtics have played them so many times over the past few years that I don't think homecourt makes any difference. They can win on Boston's home floor and Boston can win on their homecourt. Two highly experience veteran teams with Championship pedigree. I just don't see it being an issue.

Miami on the other hand are a less experienced team. First year together. No Championship experience outside of Wade. They also have several players who are excellent at drawing free throws who could benefit from some home-cooking. I think that having homecourt would give them a nice boost.

It would certainly be nice to gain that two seed. Just for the sake of getting the home court advantage. Is it completely necessary? No, but it would be mighty nice to have.

IF the Celtics win their next 3 games, they will secure HCA over Miami AND possibly over the Lakers if they lose one of their last 3 games.

But we've been saying IF the whole season, I'm not very confident it will happen. Part of me says that we will be seed 3 and not have HCA vs the Lakers, which would be essential in a finals series should both teams reach it.

WIN BOSTON WIN.

I think everyone's forgetting that Miami is having issues selling its tickets. No one really wants to go to their games...... Their "home court" isn't like our loyal TD Banknorth (Still Fleet Center in my mind).

Predictions:

Rondo will obliterate Bibby and any one else they throw at him.

Ray will get in rythm this game and hit at least 4 trifectas.

Pierce is going to come out the gates extremely aggressive.

The Heat will have no answer for Jeff Green.

Rondo will successfully guard LeBron James on at least a few possessions.

I feel the opposite way. I'm convinced we could beat Miami with or without home court. Their fans hardly even show up to their games and we're already in their heads enough. On the other hand, having homecourt against LA would be huge. I'll believe until I die that we win the title last year with homecourt

I hate to use this phrase, but tomorrow seems to be the last "statement game" of the season (and no, I don't count the last game of the regular season vs. NY to be a "statement game.")

boston really needs ray allen on both ends tomorrow. and honestly...tomorrow is why boston got jeff green. to match up on james so PP doesn't have to the entire game.

i think rondo will eat bibby for supper but i feel wade is going to have a huge day hitting 5 plus 3's...

There'll be loads of room in the paint because Bosh is like the marshmallow man. Drive the basketball and we'll win.

And also, force Lebron to post up, because he's just pure diarrhea in them situations!

Rondo has to run circles around Bibby and Chalmers, if Rondo does this and plays aggressively I think our chances of winning are pretty darn good.

This is very true.  TP.

I'm worried about it though.  Jeff Green has really not wowed me thus far with his defensive capabilities.

I doubt we will see Rondo guarding LeBron again
