Why doesn't Green get more minutes?

Because he plays the same position as Paul Pierce and Glen Davis takes up the rest of the back up minutes at the 4? (Which I don't agree with at this point).

Jeff Green will be huge in the playoffs when Pierce gets in foul trouble covering LBJ. For this reason alone, the trade was worth it.

If Jeff Green has to cover Lebron for too many minutes, it will nbe a nightmare. Lebron will abuse Green big time.

Overall, Green has been a non-factor the majority of the time he has been on the court. It's like he can't produce anything on his own and kind of stands in the corner hoping someone passes him the ball. On defense, I have never seen a guy stand up straight and try to cover his man the way Green does. As for rebounding, forget about it. I hope he can help them get to the championship this year, but he is not a guy that I hope the Celts hang onto.

It's not like Glen Davis is much more effective. He's resorted to taking long jump shots and does not rebound well at all. We need young bigs who are tall and have length.

He also doesn't get the right looks when he's out there. He's been taking end of possession three's... put him on the block, run pick and rolls with him, hit him coming off picks and let him go to work.
