He averaged 37min at OKC.  And OKC is pretty good.

He is better than Posey, and he is better than Davis.  Isn't he our sixth man, isn't he capable of playing the 2 3 and 4.

Wasn't he a lottery pick?

He played only 15 minutes tonight. I don't get it.

I mean, it's been how long since the trade? Krstic was used immediately with more minutes. Green is better though. The only plausible explanation would be if he is hiding him until the playoffs?

Maybe he ticked off the wrong people and doesn't play defense.

Maybe he said something like "I am so out of here and don't care about this place" and they were like "Oh. Well then. No big contract for you"

Maybe he's breaking various rules.

Kristic was needed since he would be the only other 7 footer next to KG and we were in desperate need for help at the 5 spot.

And didnt Pierce played 40 minutes tonight? I don't get it either. The main reason we did the trade was to get Paul a real backup so he could rest heading into the playoffs. If we're not going to do that, then what was the point?

Link?  are you just saying random bad things ?  like maybe Jeff Green Robbed a bank?  does this make any sense?  is there any reason he would not be on good behavior with a new team?

Jeff Green will be huge in the playoffs when Pierce gets in foul trouble covering LBJ. For this reason alone, the trade was worth it.

Sadly, maybe it's cause he hasn't been doing well. Keep in mind that Krstic on some nights would be lucky to break 20 mins, as well. I also think it says a lot that he's -12 in those 15 minutes, for what it's worth to say. I mean, really?

The issue here is, he's adjusting to a new system and there hasn't been a ton of practice time. I'd much prefer to give him some burn now to see what he can do, as opposed to hoping it'll click for him in the playoffs.

I was just speculating because I can't figure it out

I really advocated for Green, but I fear we got this guy too late in the year. Even more I fear this is who he is.

I worked for OKC last year and got to see him a lot up close and personal. He showed a lot of flashes but it was Durant's team and Westbrook was having a very solid second season. I figured this guy is playing out of position and is the third option.

Now I am starting to think I was wrong about the acquisition. I think DA made a good deal at the time though. I would have done the same thing, but I wish he would have went for Gerald Wallace. Green is not assertive. He doesn't play with energy or play inspired. He just doesn't appear to love playing the game. He plays like a guy who was gifted with a basketball body and everyone told him he should play ball. Clearly he is a riddle that OKC couldn't figure out and we have yet to.

I hope I am wrong but I think this is what we will get out of Jeff Green in the playoffs - wildly inconsistent play that at times appears disinterested. Posey was always mentally in the game. Green is indifferent. In order to gain opportunity you have to earn it, I don't think he has earned it and it shouldn't be given to him because he is Jeff Green.

He doesn't really know our system on offense or defense yet.  His shining moments so far have usually come from transition or isolation plays (the sort that don't usually involve a gameplan).

Well one thing about the playoffs is there is more time to practice and the studying for a single opponent is infinitely more intense. Maybe there is hope that we can get him consistently producing.

I do think that the lack of touches and shots transfers to how he performs in all the other phases of his game. This is the case for most people.
