Scal said the same things on the radio the other day.  He said they were happy when they heard about the trade, because it meant they didn't have to get knocked down by Perk everytime they went to the basket.

If we can't get to the Finals without Kendrick Perkins, the league should retroactively strip our 4 starters of their "all-star" designations and change the record books to 4 more deserving players.

Yep.

I actually like the talk, I think it will give the C's even more ferocity when they meet in the ECF.

Wow who knew Perk was the Celts MVP the last 3 years.  All this talk is such foolishness.

Perk wasn't MVP, although he absolutely was one of this team's leaders.  His presence is missed, both on and off the court.  We've lost a lot of our intimidation factor among other teams, and we've lost a lot of our internal chemistry.

Obviously, Perk wasn't the only important piece on this team, but he was certainly one of them.

If it's as easy as that then just sign some dude to come in as enforcer to knock down anyone who drives to the basket.  I bet teams were petrified when Perk was in the game the last six minustes of a game.  Oh yeah he was on the pine after committing 5 fouls in 20 minutes of play.  Enough already about this guy.  Seriously this guy's value has quadrupled since he got traded.  I never seen anything like it.

Hell PJ brown brought more to that 2008 playoff run than Perk did.  Watch OKC flame in the playoffs.  Just watch.

Funny thing is - they'll get knocked down once 7'1" and 300+ pounds returns to us.

I hope that The Celtics will cut this stuff out and paste it on their chalkboard.

CHI won a Regular Season game, and now they are an authority on everything?

Who is DRose?

See, this is the anti-Perk bias that I just don't understand.

Perk was our leading shot-blocker and second best rebounder during our title run, and played good defense.  P.J. was a good role player, but outside of one big play, his contributions were dwarfed by Perk's.

This team's problem is offense.  They lack a post presence on OFFENSE NOT on DEFENSE.  Thats still their problem.  If their jump shots arent falling they struggle to score.  That was a fact before Perk got traded and it's a fact after Perk got traded.  Their defense is fine!

PJ was playing crunch time minutes in the Finals.  Doc had more confidence in PJ on the floor in crunch time.  Cmon

The great thing about last night's game is that we sucked on both ends.  Something for everybody!

2008 NBA finals - Perk averaged 4.0 ppg and 3.6 rpg and 0.5 bspg in 18.4 mpg.  PJ averaged 19.4 mpg.
