I am actually not that worried either. First of all, last night we were 3 games back of first seed with 5 games to go. The players all know we are getting the 3rd or 2nd seed and in reality, if we cant beat the Knicks or 76ers, then we are not real anyway. They just were not motivated to expend playoff type energy in Chicago while the Bulls were looking to make a point. In the end, it is just 1 game. If it comes to be where we face the Bulls to go the finals, we need to win 1 game in Chicago. I will put my trust in experience rather then raw untested aggression. The Bulls are not going to the finals this year and it would not be the biggest surprise if Dwight found a a way to beat them.
The most important thing is that Doc rests the starters enough in next 4 games where their legs are semi fresh come big game time. None of our starters should be playing big minutes now. I don't buy the they need to get in a good grove argument either, for the most part, their main stars are all veterans who have been there and done that.
I hope everyone in the media writes us off to, there is nothing better then telling proud aging superstars they are cooked for the year. If our coach cant get us properly motivated as the playoffs approach, then maybe the media can.
In the end, stay healthy, rest well and get ready to show some damaging Celtics pride come playoffs. I am not going to lose sleep over who we play in the first round either. Either team should produce a win for us in the series as we get ready to beat Lebron again in round 2. I feel that beating the Knicks with their "2" superstars will actually get us in the right frame for the following series vs the "3" younger stars in Beach Land. After we get through those pretenders to the throne, we will be more then ready to face either Dwight or the Bulls. It will be a long road to the finals, but in the end, we should be there.
