1.We need a two headed monster at pg.  It will be a seven game series have rondo and delonte play all out.  Get tired get subbed.  We need constant deny ball pressure on rose, eat up some clock.
2. Some new ways to get ray open, if  our team is not hitting outside shots it wll be a very tough series.  Double picks? Having shaq's body certainly will help.
3. Shaq.  They have no one to guard him on the box, I'd go to him every time he's in causing matchup issues and drawing fouls.
4. Have to draw fouls on their bigs and Deng, same thing they'd be doing to us
5. They don't seem to have a guy who can matchup against Green.  Play him at sf and move pierce to sg, giving us more of a physical presence in backcourt.  Seemed like Ray got man handled a bit (and good defense)
6.  Use our bench more, in a series I think it will matter

Bulls have what it takes to win it all

Delonte West is a bad matchup against Derrick Rose. He simply doesn't have the quickness required to defend Rose effectively on a consistent basis.

Rajon Rondo is going to have match Rose minute for minute in a playoff series.

Delonte West should only play against CJ Watson or as a two guard alongside Rondo against Bogans or Korver.

Yeah, I really enjoyed seeing how nobody on the Bulls outside of Luol Deng was able to defend Jeff Green in the post.

Ronnie Brewer was their next best option but even he was ineffective. That is a go-to scoring option that needs to be exploited in a playoff series.

agree about delonte but we need to work rose every second of every game
forgot to add some hard fouls when he drives the lane wouldn't hurt

also roys add rebounding, agreed, noah is tough to keep off boards, only kg can stay with him and boozer outworked (wow) most of our bigs last night

I thought Delonte looks better against rose last night than rondo did alot, granted it was a small sample size, but I thought he did a pretty good job getting up in rose's grill.  You didnt think so who?

to me more importantly what we need from delonte when he is in is physical play and he has to hit the outside shots
chicago did a great job of making west, pierce and ray not look good from long at all

No, I thought Rose got by Delonte fairly easy ... like most quick guards do.

Delonte doesn't have the quickness or defensive chops to cover the speedster PGs in this league.

West is a good individual defender against PGs with average to below average quickness + he is always a very good team defender with his scrappiness and ability to read the game ... but West is vulnerable against great quickness/explosiveness, always has been.

I think that every minute Delonte is matched up unnecessarily (if Rondo is available) against Rose in a playoff series is a coaching mistake. Playing against the odds and very likely to hurt the team.

He scored 4 or 5 baskets against him in what was a relatively small portion of the game.

As far as Ray's screens are concerned, I think I'd rather go back with Nenad starting over JO.

JO isn't that good of a screener.

You have to turn Rose into a jump shooter.  That's it.  They way he went to the rim every time he wanted to just isn't going to cut it.  The perimeter and help defense need to step it up

Maybe I'm too much of an optimist but I saw a different game than most last night:

1) The Bulls played with the intensity of a Game 7-The Celts seemed mostly disinterested
2) A number of balls bounced the Bulls' way
3) The Bulls hit 41% of their 3's. The Celts missed several wide open 3's (Ray 0-3, PP 1-5)
4) The Celts missed a number of real easy shots, including Rondo alone on a breakout, JO on a layup and Pierce on a uncontested 5 footer in the lane.
5) Despite 1,2,3 & 4, the Celts overcame a 10 point deficit to take a lead in the 3rd.

Sorry, the Bulls, while a nice team that plays hard and plays good D, had everything to their way last night. They are good but no better than Orlando or Miami in a 7 game series.

The Celtics, on the other hand, will be a different team in the playoffs. The playoffs are such a different animal that regular season games barely resemble playoff games. Some players are next to worthless in the deeper playoff games. This is when we will see the real effect of not having Perk (who proved he doesn't scare). But I have huge confidence that KG, PP, RA, Rondo, Shaq, Baby and Delonte will play their best ball when it counts the most. The question marks are JO, Green, and Curly.

Me too -- If Jermaine is going to be limited to 20mpg or less

It makes the rotations easier and allows Doc to have a quality interior defender (KG or JO) on the floor at all times. Creates better combinations/lineups.

Allows for more consistent play throughout a game ... stop those second units from falling apart defensively due to the BBD and Krstic combo.

Not to be completely off topic but is there a better defender to have on Rose than Tony Allen?
