Rondo showed no competition, no intensity, no fierceness, no nothing tonight.

I knew we were going to lose if Rondo didn't show up, our offense were horrible passes to 1 player then ISO. We looked like a bad version of the Miami Heat.

Bruh rember once upon a time they were asking who was the better point guard, man I remember rondo saying he was the best point guard in the league smh Rose stays frying him tho Rondo was missing layups and Rose was hittin watever he wanted im still stunned Rondo was on the all defensive team at one point

Honestly, I hope you are right that he wasn't trying.  What I saw was a defense taking away everything Rondo wanted to do...and that is scary.  Doc is going to have his work cut out for him countering that defense, if they do meet in the ECF.

I guess we just need to pray that the real Rondo we know and love shows up in the playoffs. What a frustrating finish for this regular season. I really thought that we had begun to turn the corner too.

I really saw a lack of effort on Rondo's part more than anything though... I saw all the signs of a classic Rondo dud, not a dominating Chicago defense (it was good, but its not why Rondo no-showed). He was standing around at the top of the key, walking the ball up the court, looking passive and unemotional, etc. How many times did you see Rondo drive and try to finish or kick out the ball? I actually can't think of a single time.

Rondo was better in the 2nd half, but in reality if Rondo's teammates are cold....Rondo doesn't have much game.

Rondo doesn't want to score so if he isn't dishing out assists, what good is he?

He can't make FTs so he won't drive...and his defense is too much gamble.

You really can't think of a single time? He made two layups to start the third quarter.

Rondo never shows up anymore.

How about the past 6 games?

I'm talking about in the half court sets. He also missed a wide open layup that killed our momentum... I'm a huge Rondo fan by the way and am trying to convince myself that this was just Rondo not trying rather than Chicago shutting him down

Rose gets gets more fouls called for him going to the hole than Lebron but he's  a good free throw shooter. He's also a better outside shooter than Lebron. Tough combo to work with.

Rondo and our team need to attack Rose. He really is not a good defensive player at all. We need to get him into a little oul trouble and get him thinking a little bit. Baby needs to take a charge on him and his  game will change

Rondo would get foul calls..... if he actually ever decided to charge the basket or have a better FT % than 55%....  >:(

I ashamed of Doc who isn't giving Rondo anything to work with, what a clear difference when JO and KG are in the game with Rondo than with Baby as last line of defense. 2nd half you saw what happens when Rondo has KG to simply rebound an outlet, we took the lead. Blame Doc because there's not excuse for not learning form last game. Doc can't even get Ray open looks and you wanna make this about Rondo?

Rondo is a great role player for this team. He is too inconsistent imo to be considered a star in this league. Until he can start hitting his Free Throws with consistency, Rondo name should never come up in top PG in the NBA conversation. Its disgraceful Shaquille O'neal is better Free Throw shooter than Rondo. SHAME!

Rondo let Rose off the hook, he let all the guards who dropped off and went below the Celtics screen off the hook.

Rondo's got to drive and score on layups all game...from the start.

That's the best way to utilize Rondo as an offensive threat.

Rose is mini-Bron with a jumpshot. Basically unguardable right now. C's have never had a answer for him. He puts the defense in a bad spot which leads to kick outs and dump offs. Thibs has transformed that team into a serious contender. Gonna be a battle in the ECF.

Gonna be a battle in the ECF.

If they make it there...they still need to find a way to stop Howard first.
