Faaaaaast Don't Lieeeeeee.

I remember when Rondo was fast. Now he might as well be older than the Big Three, he sure as heck plays like it.

I wonder how Rondo will play against the Bulls in the playoffs, but that is only if we make it that far.

Rondo is such a great defender.  He really shuts down opposing point guards.  ::)

He has problems with point guards who are just as fast or faster than him.

Unfortunately there are more and more point guards in this league who fit that description.  We're entering the age of the fast, athletic point guard.  At some point practically every team is going to have a point guard who is as fast or faster than Rondo.

Westbrook, Rose, Paul, Brooks, Lowry, Conley, Holliday, Evans, Ellis, Wall, Jennings, Beaubois, Collison . . .

Yup...I'm really interested in seeing what Rondo works on during the off season...

not an encouraging half.  Rondo isn't doing diddly to slow down Rose.    Even when Rose misses, someone on the C's has to cover for the fact he blew past Rondo so now that defender is out of position thus leaving their man open for an easy offensive board and score.

C's have to find an answer to slowing down Rose.  C's have everyone available that would help in this aspect so hopefully Doc comes up with something at halftime that works

very disappointing first half in such a big game....4 or 5th game in a row where the opposing PG has been able to get to the rim at will. that is a major issue that is not being fixed
Very disappointing? I'm not sure why. We're down by 5, but we won the 2nd quarter, are only behind on the boards by 2, and would actually have a lead if we hadn't blown 5 or 6 lay ups. And we haven't even heard much from Pierce or Ray yet. I'm not that worried yet.

i am a bit concerned about the second chance points the bulls are getting
No doubt--we have that problem no matter who we play--it's so rare to see someone properly find a man and box out that when it actually happens it's easy to notice.

It is literally a one man show out there for the Bulls. If Rondo would just learn to stay in front of Rose we would be up in this game.

How many points did Rose score from getting by Rondo in the half court?

The good thing for us, is that Rondo isn't to the Celtics what Rose is to the Bulls. With Delonte West in, we can still run the offense. The Bulls NEED Rose to BE the offense. If anything happens to Rose, the Bulls are doomed.

True.
If this was soccer, I'd put a target on Rose knee to foul him out of the game!!  ;D
If this was soccer, everybody would be flopping.

Flopping? I'm speaking about serious soccer (European or Southamerican..).
But of course it was just a joke.
The Celtic in me.

Rivers in the locker room before the game: "OK guys, who is the one today who wants to NOT GIVE A S*** about the game! Pierce, Rondo: "Here Doc, pick us!"

Rose is going to score. Maybe Doc is taking the approach he tends to have with big time scorers like LeBron & Kobe. Try to contain him, but keep everyone else from hurting you.
