  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

I guess they will win in Chicago and maybe Miami (their motivation against the Miami Hype Machine is not clear to me),

Their motivation is that the Heat were crowned the kings of the East before they'd even played a game.
They were the new 'Big 3' like the Celtics were old news- even though they are defending conference champs.
Plenty of motivation there trust me lol.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Beating the Bulls, Heat and Knicks would be good enough for me :)

love the positivity.  I think you're right.  The players are coming back healthy (healthy enough to play anyways) and I think they'll make an effort to get HCA over Miami and the Lakers if possible.

If they lose, it'll most likely be the second Wizards game if the C's are locked into their seed by that point.

The C's always play with 110% effort against other big teams...so i expect we'll try to send a statement to Chicago, miami, NYC.

They may lose to the wizards though...but I think with rondo playing at his normal levels, and everyone knowing HCA against LA/Miami is at stake...they'll try their hardest these last few games..

especially if we get shaq back for a couple

I think with Miami and New York the extra motivation is to not let these teams feel like they can beat us. Especially so close to the play-offs. These teams have yet to beat us all-season and we're likely to face one of them maybe both in the play-offs. Sweeping them in the regular season is a nice way to plant a seed of doubt.

If they go for "broke" and win the rest of the games, I don't think we should give much credit to the argument, that the team wants HCA in the East, or over say, Miami. However, given that the team meets "tough" opposition, plus the worst team in the league, I don't think it is unrealistic. If we had met the Bucks and Grizzlies of the league, I would highly doubt it.

First of all, I don't think that matters much. The team proved last season that they can play on the road, and Miami have proved throughout the regular season that their fanbase is not intimidating.

They are currently one game behind being tied with the Lakers, and I'm sure that if they are gunning for winning the rest, it would be to ensure HCA against Lakers, and no one else. That is an argument I could buy.

What's great about this prediction is that if we were to win our last 5 and go 59-23 and a slumping Lakers team loses just 2 of their next 4, they'd finish 58-24 and we'd secure HCA over them in the Finals!

The Lakers have tough opponents in Golden State, Portwin, OKC and a proud Spurs team in their final four games. A loss tonight to Golden State and we'd be going into Chicago in a virtual race with the Lakers for HCA.

Suddenly I'm feeling excited for this season once again ;D
Never stop believing baby~

hey, that HCA race with LA could be enough motivation by itself...

That said, if the bench is really contributing they could win all 5, because the starters won't play those many minutes as they did earlier, hopefully.

Go Celtics!

Well there goes that prediction.

I will await the flick of the switch.

Are we back tied with LA or behind now?

We're back exactly one game from them:

They've got three tough games against POR, SAS, and OKC left on their schedule ending up with a game against the lowly Kings.  Unfortunately, apparently they own the tie-breaker against us if it comes down to that.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson
