So imagine that you've got Danny Ainge strapped in a chair and he's just been injected with a powerful truth serum.  Pretend for a moment that this is not creepy or illegal or immoral in any way.  You are assured of getting as honest an answer as possible out of Danny to any question you might ask him.

What question would you ask him?  (keeping it appropriate, and ideally Celtics related, of course)

Were you ever jealous of Bird's love for DJ?

Is Shaq currently injured, and has he been injured at all this year?

But I know the answer, obviously, is no.

The whole business about "should have traded McHale" or whatever was really about your being p---ed that it was YOU that got traded, right?

If Tree Rollins had alcohol in his system when you bit his finger, does that mean you'd go to hell?

How much of your GMing philosophy was shaped by the fact that Red traded you mid-season, but held on to guys like Larry and McHale?

How much did they pay you to do that signing at the Kingston strip mall footlocker I waited like 4 hours to get your autograph at and what did you do for the people still waiting when you left?

This is a two parter, but in one sentence.

Would you ever have done the Perk trade had Marquis not gotten hurt and when did you officially realise when it was time to shop Perk  (when he didn't sign the contract extention)?

Dang it I gotta another question...  Who are the canidates your looking at for coach if Doc were to leave this year?

I would've thought harder about it, or maybe looked to make a different trade.

I thought we had to shop Perk since 2 years ago because I knew he didn't fit into our long term plans, and when his value was high we should have looked for what was out there.

I'm pretty sure I would've still done the deal for Green regardless of Marquis, but not sure. I guess I'm more confident in our team and how they play with their current group of bigs than most.

Edit: Forgot what thread I was in, so feel free to ignore this post.

This is a really good question, but Danny would have to be awfully introspective to answer it accurately.  Still an interesting idea - we might still have Perk if only Red hadn't broken Danny's heart 20 years ago.

This is a common misconception actually. In fact it was the other way around. Rollins bit ainge. I beleive the front page of the Heralds sports section was, "Tree Bites Man" or somthing along those lines lol.
