Well, an equally fair question might be, how many injury riddled bullets can get sent the Celtics way before they've gotten their fair share?

The Spurs haven't had to deal with very much in the way of injuries all season, and yet their roster is nearly as old as ours.

You can't really call the Lakers a young team, they've had to deal with relatively little all season.  When was the last time Kobe had a serious injury that caused him to miss a significant number of games?  There are a lot of other teams that are due.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

What about the Lakers? Kobe? Fisher? Bynum? Gasol? Odom? Blake? Artest?

I'm not sure how you could injure a bullet, but I'm pretty sure it'd make them a cinch to dodge.  The ballistics would be all off, and the gun would probably jam up or explode well before you got hit.

...all kidding aside, I'm just hoping we have enough healthy bigs to have a proper playoff rotation.  Krstic and Murphy look like they will be ready to go either tonight or next game, so that's a start.

I think that would make them harder to dodge. An uninjured bullet would have speed -- but you could guess the trajectory based on where the gun is pointed.  Not much time to react depending upon the distance between you and the shooter, but... a chance.

An injury-riddled bullet would not only have speed, but its trajectory would be completely unpredictable.  You may survive, but trying to dodge it would be an exercise in futility.

Great topic!!

Could anyone who saw Shaq hobbling down and then off the court on Sunday have thought, "he'll probably be back on Friday"? Impossible -- we all knew he was done.  Even those of us who held their breath in hope when KG went down, and when JO went out for his surgery, and when Delonte went out with his second injury, and when Nenad went down with his knee --  even the green-colored dreamers KNEW Shaq was done.

It was surprising to hear the injury was a muscle strain, shocking to hear he might play on Friday.  It will be mind-blowing if he is up and running come The Finals. But, hope and Leprachauns still abound.
