Not sure if this should go in music or movies, but did anyone else go to see the Phil Ochs documentary "There but for Furtune"?
It's a really well made documentary not only about Phil Ochs, his somewhat disturbed life, and his music, but about a rather interesting period of time in US history. The civil rights movement, Vietnam war,the anti war movement, etc and how music and musicians had a great effect on these issues.
If you haven't seen it, I recommend it highly. Of course I'm sure I'm showing my age and most of you have no idea who Phil Ochs was.

Didn't see it, but will look for it.  Not to give my age away either (although it is no secret) Phil's "There But for Fortune" sung by Joan Baez was one of my favorites.  Thanks.  ;)

It's not out on DVD yet, although I'm sure it will be. It's been playing limited showings around the country. I saw it at Coolidge Corner in Brookline a few weeks back.
Where he less than the most popular artist, I can't imagine it will be too long before it's available on DVD.
