Good news indeed. Still makes you wonder about his durability throughout an entire postseason though

That sounds great.  I didn't even know that he wasn't able to practice before.  If that was essentially the first time he was playing full contact ball in months, I dont think anyone should be surprised he had a little muscle strain.  That's a lot of weight for his body to get used to pushing around again lol.

If KG is any indication after his calf/tweak he has been fine since with no setbacks

It's easy to understand Shaq panicking and kind of overplaying it because he originally thought it was something WAY worse.

Yup it looked really bad you saw Shaq toss his mouth piece to the ground and what looked like throw a air punch to the ground

As if he was thinking I'm done that's it

Is it good news really? Look, Shaq at 100% wasn't that impressive. At 50% last night vs. Detroit he was so-so. Now even if he can play he'll be 30%. Is this what we're pinning our hopes on. No, the Cs have to compose themselves and know they're it. No cavalry at the 11th hour.

Yeah, the KG injury earlier this season offers a good barometer for how Shaq will fair going forward. Granted, he has a little more meat on him than KG.

He played pretty [dang] well for a man who had missed so many games.

His size alone is a huge advantage (literally) for clogging up the lane defensively, getting rebounds, and setting picks.

We don't need him to score 30 points, just some decent contributions. If he can do that we will be in a lot better shape, otherwise we gotta fight through it. Let's hope for the former.

Where are these numbers coming from? Shaq was great yesterday until the injury, and I would say he was more than 50%. Hopefully this injury proves not to be that big of a setback and he'll be able to be a big contributor. Also agree with the theory that Shaq freaked out and may have overreacted. Definately reminded me of the KG injury, KG looked scared out of his mind at that moment. Good thing we're done playing Detroit for the year, seems like we can't play them without some kind of incident

in his little time, he clogged the lane, and showed his great hands and nice touch and the truth is the guy is a giant so just being in there matters. He caught a pass from Rondo that no else but Baby has the hands to catch and Baby wouldn't have been able to reach it. On D his quick hands knocked the ball of a defender. I don't expect more then this at all. If Jo and Shaq combine for 30 minutes its MORE than I ever expected. And that still looks possible. Fingers crossed the "calf" isn't a strained upper achilles and by some miracle was just a cramp

I'm still waiting for him to establish his durability for an entire game.
