Chalk this up under "eja was really really bored"

Sorta a science thread.

So if mankind gets wiped out in the next 100 yearsish what do you think is the most likely thing to do it and why?

Its not an option, but my money is on a huge natural disaster, which will disable the infrastructure of our society, then, famine and disease run rampant, starting a kind of panic that results in the film The Road starring Vigo Mortenson

I'm pretty sure Arkansas not the only place stuff like this has been happening I keep coming across similar stories, but haven't kept up. I'm a bit of an apathetic person so not much holds my attention.

2012 THE END IS NIGH!!!!!!!!!!

I'll go with God smites us.

I'd have to guess that the 'Apocalypse' might occur because of a shortage of non-renewable energy resources

Percentage wise we've been playing roulette with the meteorite for some time now.  Eventually the blindly thrown dart i going to hit the bulls eye.

But, in the grand scheme of things that being an almost certainty to happen again, doesn't mean it will happen soon (by our puny human standards of time).

It's getting pretty hard to turn the other cheek at the ever growing frequency and magnitude of nature's wrath though. I find this most inconvenient

So many fine ways to die...But I'll stick with the meteorites, as a convenient apocalyptic surrogate to our miserable humanity spurred global extermination.

Yup

Couldn't "God smites us" also fall under the rest of the categories?  (if you're of that persuasion)
