I had hoped Indiana but since we'll end up 3rd, most probably Philly at 6th place would be our assignment. Judging from the past games we had, they were close. We didn't dominate, in fact the last game was their show. They were in control. Doug Collins is smart and doesn't want play mano-a-mano. Elton Brand has been great, maybe we should take pointers from him on how not to miss open looks. How he does it is beyond me.

Celtics have HCA and a lot more playoff experience than the 76ers.

Celtic games vs the 76ers in the regular season don't really mean anything imo.

Celtics will most likely win (I'd say 80% chance). The main concern is how much energy the Celtics will have to expend to beat the 76ers.

I don't want Boston playing a 7 game series against a fast and athletic team.
Celtics' turn on switch for the playoffs: the last bastion of hope for battered Celtic fans.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
76ers might win one game and that's if they get lucky.
Celtics in 7 games are just too strong, Shaq, JO, Krstic coming off the bench..our inside presence is going to be so stacked come playoff time.
I feel sorry for whoever they play in the first round because they are going to come out and DESTROY whoever it is- particularly with how much BS/criticism they've been getting served with by the media and 'fans'.

Can't wait to see everyone jump on the C's bandwagon after the first round. Exactly the same as last year for the most part I'm predicting.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Just thought I'd add that we are tied in the loss column with Miami for 2nd seed right now with one game left to play against them.  I think 2nd seed is still very much attainable despite our poor play of late.

The SA game was a good sign that we could start playing some solid ball to end the season on a good note.

I think we'd beat the Sixers pretty comfortably in a seven game series, but I'd much rather get the 2 seed so we would have home court advantage against the Heat in a second round matchup.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Yea seriously, I don't remember the regular season being over. Considering we're tied with the Heat in the loss column, no point in me assuming at this point that the #2 seed is there's.

I wouldn't bet on it.  The Celtics have a lot of easily losable games left on their schedule while the Heat are on one of their rolls.  I wouldn't be surprised if they don't lose more than 1 more game the rest of the regular season.  Even if the Celtics beat the Heat when they face them again, I doubt the C's will end up with a equal or better record.

Fair enough. I agree with you that the Heat look like they are in a better position to secure the 2nd seed on paper right now.  I'm just pointing out that it's far from a done deal.

The Celtics actually control their own destiny.  If we can win out our last seven we are automatically the two seed.  Not likely, I know, but I think this team is capable of putting that kind of end of season run together.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe even if we lose to the Heat the last time we play them, and we finish with the same record, we'll win the tiebreaker and have the 2nd seed.

Yeah, but Miami pretty much folded.  Even D-Wade was playing like he knew it was a lost cause.

I'm with whoever doesn't want to play a young, athletic, motivated team that has one of the top coaches and X/O's guys in the league.

76ers will not fold like the Heat did. Should be a good series if a short one.
