Coach T has his fingerprints allover the team. I'm most envious of their two 7footers (Noah, Asik) gobbling up all the boards. Here's a shocker they actually Box-Out & it works. Bulls rank 2nd in rebounding, Celtics 2nd to last.

Celts are 9th in DRebound %...the only rebounding number I really care about. (Bulls 2nd)

Bulls are obviously a great team defensively. We'll see how Boozer holds up when KG gets him on the block. Actually, I won't be surprised if the Magic knock them off.

Why don't you jump on their bandwagon then? OF course you'll be back by the time the Celtics beat them.

First of all, I'm not legally bound to any team. Bulls are one of three-to-four team I occasionally like to watch. As a bandwagon is concerned, I consider myself a Celtics fan generally because of the Paul Pierce is a Celtic. But my fandom isn't exclusive. I enjoy watching good team basketball.

Much more likely that the Heat knock off the Celtics than that the Magic knock off the Bulls.

To me rebounding is overrated.

You have horrible win/loss teams who rebound well and you have horrible rebounding teams with some of the top win/los records in the league.

I'd like to also point out that the Bulls have the personnel to rebound much more effectively than the Celtics do.

Tom Thibodeau is a great coach, we all knew he was going to have success when he got a HC job. He got a very good chance with a young, talented team. I'm happy for him.

That said, the Bulls are not playoff-tested, and they are peaking too soon. Rose is in the MVP conversation, and they are the team of the moment. But the only Bulls player who would start on the Celtics is Noah. I'd rather get him than Dwight Howard, and I liked him and Corey Brewer since the Gators titles.

They almost have clinched the #1 spot, and that's big for them, congrats for them and their fans. I'll always dislike that team, but they deserve credit for what they are doing. Come playoff time, they could be out in the first round (remember the 08 Celtics?), I can't see the future. But if they meet the Celtics in the ECF, it's a series for Boston to loose. The Celtics are better in all positions but Center, and they are preparing for the playoff run.

We can't be envious of any team, we're the Boston Celtics, the best NBA club, and the best team in the last 3-4 seasons. Only injuries and bad officiating have kept us from winning it all in the last three years. And we have the best team to be champions this year. We just need some luck with health and maybe slightly less hate from Stern boys.

Go Celtics!!!

Also, I think there is something about our defensive schemes that puts our bigs in poor position to rebound.

Alot of times our bigs are out on the perimeter defending the pick and roll.

They gotta run all the way back into the paint where opposing bigs already setup for good rebounding position or this situation leaves our guards underneath the rim against these opposing bigs.

1) Rose would start over Rondo.

2) I don't want you building my basketball team if you'd rather have Joakim Noah than Dwight Howard.

What does this mean? That they should stop defending the pick'n'roll to position themselves to rebound? That doesn't make any sense.

And rebounding is not overrated. Rebounding creates/denies extra opportunities to score. Scoring efficiency aside, it's the most important factor in deciding basketball games. If anything, the importance of rebounding is underrated by the average fan.

Bulls are hard not to like.

But not like them I must, for they stand in our way.

Would not hesitate to root for them over any other team in the East though (or West, should it come to that, except for maybe a Perky Thunder squad).
Yup

First of all, I'm not legally bound to any team.

Or any team's message board. Why not post that in a Bulls forum?

Rose could not co-exist with Baby, too much chucking shots for a team.

I bet you don't have enough money to hire me as your GM  ;D but seriously, Dwight Howard is not playing for titles. He's like LeCrab, they play to be bigger than anyone, so he'll probably go to a "glamour" team rather than trying to improve his shortcomings. I like Howard as a player, and he's my favorite trade target in videogames, but I don't see him sacrificing for the team in real life.

Howard is the better player? yes. Better team player? Noah.

Yea, if Boston can't make it out of the east then I'll want the Bulls to do it. I never liked the Bulls during the MJ years. And I couldn't stand their fans. But times have changed and I don't hate anyone on that team now. I can't stand NY, Miami, Orlando or Atlanta.

Its not really a very difficult concept to force your offensive team to the boundaries of the court. All teams do it. The guy explains it like its some unique defensive technique... :-\
