Dude doesn't get a lot of shots I hope somebody would get in his ear and tell him to be more aggressive because he has the skill set to do more

Hard to be more aggressive offensively when the ball swings to BBD and he won’t give it up. The only way that Green is going to get more involved in the offense is if BBD is riding the pine. It’s not his fault.

Maybe he is being used wrong, but my eyes tell me the guy is really not aggressive on the court. He really seems to stand around a lot on the perimeter.

Really? Against San Antonio I recall him taking it to the basket multiple times effectively.
You are no longer black, or brown, or yellow, or red! You are now GREEN, you are light GREEN, or dark GREEN!

Yes, last night was one of the 3 or 4 good games he has played

He seems way too passive. Always defers to others.  Really disappears.  Disappointing lately.

Well, I wouldn't expect that to ever change.  He is a passive player, and he always has been.

I do think he will be more effective once he isn't being forced to play big minutes at PF.

The more I watch him, the more I am amazed how long OKC actually played him as their starting PF.  He just cannot physically hang at that position.

I think he will end up being packaged in a Trade down the line

I wouldn't be surprised at all by that.

Frankly, I would not be surprised if every member of this team is gone in 2 years, other than maybe Pierce (yes, that includes Rondo).

I like Green, but the more I see of him, the more I am convinced he will never be anything more than a solid rotation player...but I also think he is destined to get overpaid on his next contract, and I am not sure if it will be by Danny.

Green has flashes of awesomeness.  He seems too passive, and it's tough when Big Baby has been a basketball black hole lately.

My biggest disappointment has been his defense.  It seems likes he's still struggling to understand his defensive rotations.

I really liked West, Rhondo, and Green playing at the same time, I can see quite a bit of potential there.

If Green could get Garnett's defensive intensity and Pierce's offensive aggressiveness he'd dominate.  But so far looks like his defense is gonna be his downfall here in Boston.

I agree, at the 4 he is looking very soft and sets paper thin screens, basically rolls before any contact.  Shaq's and Perks screens are one of the reasons Ray was getting open looks earlier in the year.

I really think Green needs to play more 3 with Pierce sliding over to the 2.  Green looks very comfortable taking it to the rim against smaller 3's.   Plus Ray for whatever reason is looking very poor and has played bad defense.  He looks lost and has no ability to create his own shot.

It seems very hard to get him the ball in spots he likes these days,  Not the case earlier in the season. I think the big reason is not having the inside presence of Shaq or Kg.  Kg is just settling and never initiates contact in the post. I know he won't change now, but it astonishes me how all his post up moves are fade aways.  He should be drawing some fouls no?

In any event I think the Celts will be much better if they get Shaq back.  He will take so much pressure of Kg and Baby and it will allow Green to play more at the 3.

Once the rotation is set with

Shaq, KG, Pierec, Allen, Rondo,

Bench: Baby,Green, JO and West
We will be much better off and have way fewer offensive droughts.  I think KG and Ray need Shaq the most...

Pierce actually looks great the past couple

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Honestly, why do you think that no one from OKC was crying about giving him up. Limited player that knows his role and plays it well > Talented player who hasn't found his niche. IMO, he isn't a future building block.

Jeff Green should be playing all of Baby's minutes.  How does a second round overweight draft pick get the green light over a lottery pick who is taller, better shooter, and faster.  How does Jeff Green not have ALL of Baby's minutes right now.

Defense.  Especially defense on Centers... If Green play with more physicallity hew would play more.
