Great news indeed, I was expecting the worst.

However am I the only one kind of worried about the "day to day" thing? I mean, with the way Shaq has been day to day for months, it could be a while before we see Krstic back.

The only thing better than him being day-to-day would be for Ainge to say that he's definitely playing against the Pistons tomorrow. We all knew that wasn't going to happen no matter what the MRI showed, so don't worry too much

Great news... I thought he was done for the season.

I still hope that he gets largely knocked out of the rotation by 2 healthy O'Neals, but I like the depth he offers.  Good news.

That is great news, but has he done the MRI?

if Ainge said he's day to day then I guess so, but Sherrod didn't mention the MRI, this is exactly what he posted:

"According to #celtics prez of basketball ops, Danny Ainge, Nenad Krstic is now listed as day to day."

When did a statement from Danny Ainge mean anything ?

he's lied to us more times than Bill Clinton.

If he's "day to day" then he might be available by the start of training camp next year.

As long as JO made it through the back to back without any swelling I say who cares.  Krstic has brought a label to our team that we have always been the opposite of.  I was betting on JO taking his minutes anyway.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Jermaine O'Neal will bring toughness? That'd be a new one for him.

Great news about Krstic.  He's not as good as he played the first few weeks here, but not nearly as bad as he was after that.  And quality big man depth is crucial moving forward.  He might not be what we want for a starting C, but as a 5th/6th big he's a major asset.

More than Krstic?  Yes.  And more importantly, defense and rebounding.

Krstic's injury looked worse than it felt. He knew it wasn't an acl tear or anything like that, thought at worst meniscus. #celtics 12 minutes ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

Krstic considered playing today but felt pain hyperextending his knee during a workout. Hopeful to play Tues. #celtics #nba 14 minutes ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

Jermaine O'Neal is big, skilled, and mobile. But he won't be mistaken for tough, and between him and Krstic, that factor is pretty much a wash.

Sure, he's a better defender and rebounder, but that doesn't mean he's tougher.
