From an interview today on Colin Cowherd: "We call him the 'Charminator' because he's soft as charmin toilet paper."

More of the interview:

"Colin – what was going on with the shove..why shove Blake?
JT – Game had a playoff intensity to it, playoff atmosphere. The lakers very focused and put us away and I had to make a statement to my teammates and try to inspire them somehow and just send a message to the lakers that if we see them down the line, we wont be a pushover.

C – is matt barnes first tough guy for lakers in a while
JT - barnes is the charminator..the guy that assaults charmin toilet paper..hes a past bruin..us wildcats hate bruins other than reggie..hes not a tough guy..he put a laker uniform on and all of a sudden hes tough..we seen him in GS, hes a journey man..but now he puts on a laker uniform and he turns into jerry and kareem?..those are real lakers..not barnes..he just trying to play a role..hes not artest..thats their tough guy."

I actually think it's pretty funny, but am surprised that Terry continues to trash talk, even after a beat down. I can somewhat agree with him on the Journey Man thing, although I think that's just the case with many NBA players these days. Those of you on the East coast have no idea how much trash Jason Terry has talked over his career.

I didn't think it was "tough" for Terry to shove Blake like that just cause his team was getting blown out, that's for sure.

I think Terry can use some Charmin tissue paper, though.  :)

Yeah, I think it was a B move on Terry, but don't think it should have escalated like that. Kind of dumb on the Lakers, honestly, considering they were going to be up by 20 points with the game in hand, yet chose to fight it out and will now have to deal with suspensions.

What the heck was Pau Gasol doing in the game?  He deserved that foul every bit.  If you'd rather your bench players get fouled then put them in the game.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I agree with Jason Terry even though he was the instigator.

They were going to sub him out, but there was no stoppage of play for a very long time in the game since the ref's probably wanted to go home. Should have taken a foul though. Phil Jackson is kind of weird like that.

He does realize he plays with Dirk Nowiztki right? Charmin is made of tougher stuff than him.

Anyone else read it the first time as Matt Barnes being a very charming person? I'll own up.

Terry was really sending the message to his own team. That has been Dallas issue. They like most teams have taken on the persona of their best player. Dirk is fantastic but he will not mix it up. He has gotten punked a lot. The worst was when David West slapped him in the face in the first round in 2008.

Terry knows whats up. His Mavs got B*tch*d Slapped last night and he was right to do what he did because Dallas wasn't retaliating at all. The Lakers owned that second half.

Ever since GSW beat them as an 8th seed in the greatest upset ever, the mavs have never been the same competitive team.

regardless of whether or not Terry knows whats up, he comes of like a punk taking a cheap shot at one of the smallest guys in the lakers.  how about making a basketball play, hustle for a rebound, make a great pass?  Those send a better message.

I understand that the mavs play soft, and the lakers were roasting them, but it just doesn't seem like a smart move overall.  lead by example with smart play, and hustle not by being a thug.
