Very good team but they aren't getting out of the West. Too small inside, rely too much on the three, and don't play good enough defense.

Nice win tonight by the C's none the less.

I still wouldn't count the Spurs out.  They aren't playing with 100% intensity right now because they have pretty much already sewn up the #1 overall seed unless they continue on this losing streak (and they won't).
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

I feel just the opposite, I think we saw in the 1st half why they are so good.  They move the ball well, are experienced, play unselfish basketball.  Very similar to the Celtics in a lot of ways.  If they get everyone back into form for the playoffs I could see a tough west finals w/ LA.

The Spurs are very good, but we match up very well with them and so do the Lakers.  They'll struggle to get past either team, much less both.

BTW, after that wretched like 12 year streak of never beating the Spurs, we've now won 5 straight in their house.  Love it.

  • Another undersized Celtic...

I agree--they look very to similar to us but we don't jack as many threes.

This season the Spurs are the Magic of the West, but with AS caliber players to go along with Tim Duncan.

If Parker and Manu are injured they won't be able to find enough points in the paint to create open 3's which they rely on heavily within their offense.

This season, if the Spurs aren't "on" offensively, they rarely win because of their defense anymore.

Playoff ball is a totally different stage....those 3's that may fall in the regular season may not fall with much regularity when the pressure is greater.

Feels great doesn't it?  TP for pointing it out.
