How to deal witht the Anxiety of watching this team

Right now, I dread and loath the thought of watching the Celts on TV. I am fine watching a C's team that gives it their all and still lose. If they are taking good shots and missing, oh well, but to watch them in and out,  give up 30-15 in fourth quarter with rondo taking 8 shots I honestly cannot emotionally watch them. Any suggestions on how to do this.

 BTW I'm not a bandwaggoner, I'm a 30 year C's fan and PP was my fave player before he even became a C, with KG next and RA pretty close 4th with his flawless jump shot ( when hes not tired)

Declare each game a loss in the 2nd quarter and the season over in February?  Seems to be the M.O. around here.

Seriously though, if it's really that stressful to watch, I'd say turn off the TV and take a break from it.  Or DVR/TiVo it and then if things get crappy you can just fastforward. 

But sports are entertainment - they should be a fun diversion from the stuff that's really important.  If they're consistently making your day worse, you should seek out something else to fill your time, at least until the anxiety fades a bit.

Just keep your blood pressure down  , and tell yourself , you can't do a [dang] thing to change the outcome either way .....unless you are Doc or Danny ...LoL

They are getting paid to take the Malox challenge every game night. Don't burden yourself , with something out of your control.

If they win ..GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Party Time.

If they don't .......well just get on the blog and tell em off good..... call em bums , let off some steam ect.....LoL   

I think personally , its going right down to the last sec and a shot by one team will win it.

I deal with it by making a comedy out of the games.

When this team plays bad, and coasts as they are now, they are just fun to watch because they do so many stupid things, the turnovers, etc, etc.

I was laughing at them the entire time they squandered that 25 point lead against the Wolves.

I am so glad somebody started this thread (Call me a coward for not doing it myself.)  These games are downright painful to watch.  I don't mind missed shots, that will happen, and as long as they are good looks, you can't ask for much more.  However the mistakes, both on offense and defense, are simply not what we are familiar with for this team.  I don't have the answers to what is going on, but the games are receding from truly enjoyable entertainment with every game.

I am 53 and I've been watching the Celtics for a long time.  For me, the best era was the 80's but I can vaguely remember as far back as Cowens/Havlichek.  One thing I have learned is to not take losses too seriously.  That is, don't let it affect the rest of your life.  This is only a ****' game.  Get your anger out during the game, swear at the TV, scare the cat, throw stuff if you have to.  But once it's over, move on.  You'll be better off.

This is the best way to get lots of pressure out of your brain and heart. Sometimes it's hard to deal with negativity over the thread, people calling game over. But it's funny, and I enjoy it.

... and after every loss, start "Sky is falling" threads, blame Danny, blame Easter Bunny, blame anyone you want. And move on to next game.

I think it's eating all of us.  I tend to spend less time here, to be completely honest.  I suffer enough during the games when they suck, I usually don't want to dwell on it (no offense, guys).  I usually try to find more pleasurable things to do in the hours between games.
