Is it just me, or are the starters a bit hesitant to give up the ball for jeff?  I would like green to be more aggressive with it and really dominate when he has an advantage against the smaller players.  He has played well, but seems kind of mild, and almost holding back.  Maybe that happens when being thrown into a new situation?

San Antonio has only player on their roster capable of playing effective defense against Jeff Green = Richard Jefferson.

And I don't think Jefferson played a single minute against Green. He had a money matchup against Matt Bonner (quickness, face up game) and later against Manu Ginobili (size, post up game).

The Celtics have to do a better job of getting Jeff Green shot attempts. They need to run plays where he is the first option when he has matchups like this.

Crazy that after that huge losing streak against the Spurs we've now won 4 straight at their place.

Hope Krstic is ok - I slo-mo'ed the replay and it was awkward but there was no clear buckling.  Hopefully a strain at worst, but man, we just can't catch a break with these centers.

Unfortunately that won't happen. I have been pining for that since he got here and yet when he is on the floor, BBD is on the floor too, hogging the ball and being the black hole that he is. BBD should never be the first option if Jeff is on the floor but apparently he didn't get the memo.

Too many pick and rolls with Glen Davis as the picker ... resulting in too many Davis jumpshots + too few touches for Jeff Green.

Have him set more screens off the ball. Use some cross screens to free up Jeff Green as he comes to the strong side of the floor.

I'd like to hogtie Rick Fox and Brian Shaw together and dip them in chicken manure, or the nearest available fertilizer.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

If Green is going to get looked at by the starters when he is on the floor he might have to be a little selfish, smart version however. BBD didn't earn that respect from the starters with his passing skills. Green just has to be smart if he plays "selfish" sometimes.

My observations from the 1st half:

1st Quarter: Our pick and roll defense was awful, caused a lot of poor positioning for our bigs on defensive rotations....giving up offensive rebounding opportunities for the Spurs. Our perimeter defense was awful too, allowing too much penetration into the paint.....this created a lot of open 3's for the Spurs.

2nd Quarter: we cleaned up the pick and roll D and closed the lane more which really helped limit penetration....still can't rebound though....

Pierce 13 pts and 8 boards first half. Will he get enough touches 2nd half?
