I don't get why people are so harsh on Krstic, he's fighting on D, and running up and down the floor... not getting the ball on O.

Great game so far

tonight he's doing better. The other nights he was just the anti-basketball.

well... he wasn't the reason Celtics D was horrible, but yes, he's doing well tonight.

Great game (to watch) so far... my english not very good  ;D

I think your English is wonderful. TP.  ;)

you're an optimist, no doubt... TP back at you

Absolutely.  There has to be a voice of optimism in the game threads.

I just remembered earlier in the season when the blog had a forum going over losing Tony, etc, and who would play matador defense alongside Ray against D. Wade, a la Kobe, etc. Delonte isn't looking too sharp to me even with smaller PGs or SGs. I hope he digs deeper in time for the playoffs.

but i digress.

Hopefully Krstic is okay but with that said this would have been Troy's time to shine and earn some minutes if he wasn't injured. Now that goes to JO.

I'd like to hogtie Rick Fox and Brian Shaw together and dip them in chicken manure, or the nearest available fertilizer.

San Antonio has only player on their roster capable of playing effective defense against Jeff Green = Richard Jefferson.

And I don't think Jefferson played a single minute against Green. He had a money matchup against Matt Bonner (quickness, face up game) and later against Manu Ginobili (size, post up game).

The Celtics have to do a better job of getting Jeff Green shot attempts. They need to run plays where he is the first option when he has matchups like this.

Richard Jefferson is also the only player capable of playing effective man-to-man defense against Paul Pierce. The C's gotta run their offense through Paul whenever RJ isn't in the game.

Gary Neal, Manu Ginobili and George Hill simply do not have the necessary size or defensive chops to cover a physical scorer like Paul Pierce. Ditto for James Anderson.

Basically, the Celtics should have a major advantage at the SF spot whenever Richard Jefferson is on the bench due to San Antonio's lack of backup SFs.
