Sometime in the last few days, a poster here wrote that Heinsohn was "a fair weather fan" Im sure he was serious, too. Think he knows who Tommy is? Anyway that will at least be my favorite all time silly quote. Id use stronger terms but I no longer know where the lines here are at all. Other sb nation sites are like the wild west vs this one.

Not overly negative, but I think this Pierce quote from the Globe show some real conern on his part:

Ugh. That one's bad. Its nice of Bill to label us a 'title favorite' when he never believed that to begin with though. My biggest concern here though is that he didn't work a goonies or corey haim reference in there somewhere. I hope he's okay.

I'm ok with this - remember when Simmons guaranteed we'd lose to the Heat in the first round last year?  He'd fit in well around here, and at least he'd try to be creative with the Chicken Little-ing.

I'm happy this thread popped up b/c I didn't want to make those Simmons tweets into their own thread.

But it is pretty funny, it's a complete overreaction by someone who is either a bandwagon fan or just extremely prone to overreacting on the state of "his teams" AND it comes directly after a tweet that would seemingly justify the trade.

You can't really say the #1 team in the East's weakness is small-ball then criticise a team for getting rid of their slow defensive stopper in favor of a combo-forward.

EDIT: Anyone actually catch the Bulls-Sixers game? Does his assesment seem like it could be accurate?
