I would probably rather Deron Williams for the long term.
But so would the Nets, and to get Williams would result in a much tougher trade for the Celtics( lose more valuable pieces).
I'm not sure I'd rather CP3 than Rondo because of his injury problems. Cp3 reminds me of Wade in the sense that every time I watch him he moves like an old man a lot of the time and seems on the brink of a huge injury.

Yeah, he played better last night. But he had 1 more shot attempted than Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett combined. The Celtics are never going to win that way--guaranteed.

  First of all it's pretty ridiculous to complain that someone who's hitting 70% or more of his shots took too many shots. Secondly, KG didn't play much, did he?

Seriously rondo looked very good, he's played better but his better level is pretty amazing.  Ray didn't get shots his defense wasn't that good.  KG had foul trouble and played a subpar game.  The bench looked disfunctional

I'd say if people are still blaming rondo they should look elsewhere

And all signals are pointing towards Howard going to LA, why would he come to Boston when he hates Boston and it's cold weather (plus no music industry like in LA to practice his "music skills").

Not sure how many people are 'asking' for him to be traded.
The point of interest is whether or not Danny Ainge would make a move like this if Rondo doesn't show up for playoffs.

I guess another question is if you could lock Dwight Howard up for 4 years but had to trade Rondo to get Chris Paul in order to get Howard here... would you do it?
I love Rondo but I think I would. I know Ainge would.

Of course Rondo was fantastic last night but if they felt they could get one or two more runs at the flag with:
KG
Ray
PP
Dwight
CP3 or Deron Williams I think they would go for it because they can rebuild for another 3-4 year plan once the big 3 are gone.
Rondo is the Hornets best replacement for CP3 because he'd be locked into a contract and would be the best available PG they could get their hands on (most likely).

Another one I looked at was putting Rondo+ Green back with Perkins and Durant and us getting Westbrook and Sefalosia.

We wouldn't have the draft picks or high level prospects to make a deal for Chris Paul happen.  Rondo is just not enough, and we really don't have anything else to offer.

Honestly, the picture that the article paints is a nice one, but it's a pipe dream.  I don't buy that the Celtics are as great a destination in player's eyes as the article claims, and I'm not so sure Chris Paul or Dwight Howard won't stay put.
