This got me thinking if Gerald can ever make it in the nba.
He is still only 25 and if he can grow as a man and a b-ball player while playing in europe he could still be a solid nba player.

Anthony Parker did nothing in his first few nba seasons, left for europe then came back to be a solid nba player.

Yeah, I think he still has a chance at making it in the NBA. As a role player.

Europe is a good place for him to develop. A lot more practice time and hands on coaching. A team orientated approach that will force him to learn how to play within the team concept. A lot of game experience to help with his decision making on the court.

And then he needs to keep working on his defense to try and become an average to above average defender + be more consistent in his effort on the glass. Add that to his athleticism, jump shooting and finishing at the rim and you have a solid role player at the two.

It might be a couple of years away from happening ... but I think Gerald Green still has a chance of making in the NBA.

Don't know about his defense, but for someone who was billed an offensive player, he was really awful in that respect for most of his stay in Boston.

I wonder if Gerald ever reads CB, just to feel better about himself. It might be the only place on the planet where he gets regular attention.

in the interview he says he feels his team mates recognise him as a high quality scorer, but his averging 13 points a game so this cant be true? or do they play shorter games am i missing something

Green is playing for an average Russian team.
Anthony Parker was Euroleague MVP, he was one of the top players in Europe before he came back.

it still bums me out what happened to Green, because he had so much potential... he probably still does, but he's just not gonna use it the right way. perfect example of a kid that shoulda went to college

Gerald Green is still only 25 years old.

Anthony Parker was 31 when he returned to the NBA.

If G.Green puts his head down and continues to work, there is still plenty of time for him to right his career and make it back to the NBA as a solid two-way role player. He's certainly not ready for that right now (at least evidenced by his previous summer league showing) ... but in a few years, possibly.

I think he's still too young to be written off completely ... although I fully concede that GG still has a long way to go before he is ready to be a useful NBA player (and that he may never reach that point).
