The Celtics are a TEAM!

Why are people picking favorites when you need everyone to play together to win a championship?

The C's looked good in the first quarter because they were playing as a TEAM. It had nothing to do with West starting in place of Rondo. West had 5 assists it's not he was Magic Johnson out there.

It's not about stats. He was finding the open man, not holding the ball looking to pad stats (like Rondo). When you run an offense like Delonte, you don't pile up assists like Rondo does.

Great prediction.   :D

Why don't you make another one for Monday's game if Rondo sits that one too? Second time's a charm and stuff.  ::)

Well, I was wrong about winning with the blow out. But the Celtics did win. The offense ran way better with Delonte in there. West came up with some big time plays, including a game saving rebound.

 ???

We scored 85 points against the Wolves. Offense looked pretty much the same to me.

I disagree. The first quarter was the best offensive basketball I've seen the Celtics play in two months.

Yeah, for one quarter we looked great. That's it...I thought our 33 point 4th quarter against the Knicks was pretty impressive too. And our 115-93 win over the GSW a month ago.

The game is Four quarters.....

Yeah, but West only played 30 minutes.

dude...dont force it. u made a bold prediction and u were wrong.  the offense looked good in first qtr, but the game is 4 qtrs and this game looked a lot like the last few. we struggled just like we did with rondo

I agree that they looked a lot like they did in previous games after the first quarter. But the starting unit, with West, played the best first quarter I've seen in a month.

Well, Rondo is not playing tomorrow either..so, there's still a chance for such a blatantly biased prediction to come true.

Hey, my prediction didn't turn out to be true. They started the game and blew them out, but they didn't sustain it. They ended up with the win, and I still contend that the offense runs smoother with West. Tommy Heinsohn: "West really kept the continuity of the game tonight and the rhythm."

You heard it hear first. I absolutely guarantee, without Rondo in the lineup, that the C's will handle the Wolves.

I've been waiting to see how the C's would play with out Rondo slowing them down, and now I will get my wish. I predict a blowout.
so....  exactly what do we get for the guarantee not being much of a guarantee?

It's the offense collectively and not just Rondo. Tonight is your evidence, KungPoweChicken. Rondo and this team will be fine come playoff time.

After last season, I refuse to get over excited or emotional during the regular season and I'm surprised so many fans are.

If my guarantee turned out to be wrong (which it did) you guys should have made a deal with me that I could no longer post in any Rondo threads. That probably would have been fair...

But that wasn't the stipulation.

Yeah a game we barely won against the worst team in the league.

If Rondo played you would probably be blaiming him for the collapse, let be real here.

That should be pretty easy, just guarantee that they'll lose.

I'm kind of hoping that, when the playoffs roll around, you'll guarantee we can't win a title with Rondo playing. That would up our chances considerably.

It's hysterical - when I saw the title of this thread, I knew it was either KungPoweChicken or Megatron who authored it before I even clicked the link.
