Stay with me here. It's not the players that were traded, but the fact the trade was made At all. It has completely disrupted this team. It is 9-8 since the trade.the trade was made too late in the year. DId you see Doc tonight? I have not seen him that disgusted in a Long time. I am sure many will disagree, but I m sticking to my story.

I can't think of too many teams that traded a starter mid-season and went on to win the championship.  The one example I can think of -- the '95 Rockets -- replaced their starter (Thorpe) with a better player (Drexler).

That said, Perk was an injured starter, so maybe precedent doesn't apply.  Also, just because something hasn't been done doesn't mean it can't be done.  That said, I do think there's a reason that most GMs adhere to the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy.

We won the trade on paper.  Sadly, they don't give trophies for that.

I don't think it was the trade at all.

It is the additional players we are trying to integrate that have hurt us more. (West, Arroyo, Murphy)

Subconsciously, our starters have let their guard down thinking the "cavalry" has arrived or reinforcements are here.

And I think we have overrated our bench a little bit.

Outside of Baby and Jeff Green, our bench is still very weak.

hey if you want to feel even better feel free to go look at what Perk is doing right now.  But the important part to keep in mind is that he's not as classy as Krstic, not as good at offense, he's hurt or something, and he wanted money. Oh yeah. And he's overrated

The problem is Shaq is mioking this injury and JO has done nothing to earn the MLE. These are 2 7 footers we need. No excuse for tonight, especially without them having stephen Jackson.

No.  The trade has simply disrupted the team way too much. Too late and too much to overcome before the playoffs.
