I dont get it. We all sat though an entire year where the core unit of this team completely tanked the season and waitied until the playoffs to turn it on.

Before this season started, most of us expected the same kind of effort as last year, I know I did.

We got a bonus this year with the storybook wins and the enhanced effort during certain games.

The bottom line is that the Big 4 as well as Shaq, are well known for coasting, you dont last this long in the league going 100 MPH every single game.

Were back where we all though this team was going to be this season; Coasting and losing to mediocre and bad teams, and turning it on in the playoffs.

We are the #2 seed, and the best team in the east when healthy, if the Celtics need HCA to win the east then they dont deserve to be champions anyway.

The offense is terrible since the trade. So what? Shaq is out. Plus Perkins sucks on offense so that wouldnt have changed.
The team is terrible since the trade. Without the trade we wouldnt have a bench, everyone would be out with injury (Marquis, Semih, Shaq, JO, Perkins, Nate Robinson or suck in general (Harangody)
This is a different team then last year. How so? We shipped out a couple of worthless role-players (Scal, Nate Robinson) or washed up out of shape grandpas (Rasheed, Finley)

Seriously people get over it. We lost a game to the Grizzlies, the sky isnt falling. The team is coasting and we only have 12 games until the playoffs.

You cant expect the Celtics to destroy the rest of the league headed into the playoffs when we have four coasting vets, and no center.

The Grizzlies arent better then the Celtics.

We lost the game because the team didnt put fourth the effort to win, its obvious why. Because they have their eye on the big picture.

Whats the point of blowing teams out by 50 during regular season games.

HCA? Id rather beat LA and CHI on their home floors, much more satisfying.

I realized long ago that the team is coasting... it's not a big deal they do it every year.

because I'm watching how hard the team is playing to win these games.

I find it hard to believe that you think this team is coasting and are watching the games. we have busted ass in each of the last three games.

KG looks beat down right now.

On another note... why would you of all people start this thread? I recall you saying multiple times that this team is done.

Exhibit A:

I was warming up to the trade, but its obvious it destroyed everything about our team.

Since the trade we are worse on offense and worse on defense.

Shaq and JO need to suit up and play in one game, so we can see what its like to actually have a big body that knows how to protect the rim.

Krstic is invisible. I hate Danny right now, he destroyed this team.

I suppose that post was a joke, right?  ::)

Ahem..*cough* You sure? *cough*

This team cannot beat the Lakers without HCA again, im sorry. Lets not underestimate how good they are. Without HCA we will not get by the Lakers this year, and it will unfortunately end with another Game 7 loss. The stats are just so skewed in the team with HCA favor when it comes to the finals, and we need every advantage we can get.

The team with HCA wins the finals something like 74% of the time.

Thats huge. To brush that off as nothing would be ignorant.

We need HCA. Period. Point Blank. We have 20 games left, Lakers are 3 games behind us in the loss column. These last 20 games determine the title hopes.

So memphis is better then boston? Using that logic, the Bucks are better then the Lakers because they beat them by 30 in LA.

I completely agree.. coasting would be put a team away early and let the bench finish out the game. I am fearful this team is going to be speant when then playoffs come.

Last year, it was clear after Christmas that the Celts had put it in neutral and did not care. And, I was one of many who believed they would not get out of the east. It was an amazing playoff run, but in my opinion, it is something that does not happen every year and something that you cannot count on. This year was much different up until the last month or so. The Celts were playing hard, winning games, talking about the importance of HCA in the playoffs, etc. Then, all of a sudden, they fell of a cliff. Sorry, this is a lot different than last year.

Its the same, just at different time.

Celtics being terrible heading into the playoffs mean nothing.

They dont care right now and neither do you. All of their numbers are drastically down for a reason.
