...hate to be the kind of guy that says "I told you so."

Well then don't be. Aside from it being against Forum Rules, Rondo played a good game tonight. Yes, the ending possession for him was horrendous, but I am far from disappointed in him tonight. When the C's were down, Rondo was one of two guys (also KG) who kept the Celtics steady in the first half.

Not hating on Rondo at all tonight. Shouldn't have come down to that last possession.

He got the ball in the wrong people's hands all night long, and was our leading turnover guy.

Rondo had 11 assists and 4 turnovers, while the rest of the team combined for 13 assists and 14 turnovers.

Aside from Krstic (who was altogether terrible tonight after the 1st quarter), who had 4 TO's, both Pierce and Garnett added two, and so did Delonte West and Troy Murphy (that traveling call was borderline unforgiveable). Glen Davis was the only guy tonight who managed to play more than one total minute and get 0 turnovers.

Can we consider the ugly 3 point attempt a turnover?

You mean Davis's? If so...yes. That was soooooo awful.

Yes, legit just terrible.  We had a time out remaining as well.  It was so dumb.

Eh...  I'm not sure that it's prudent to give up on a young all-star PG after a stretch of two bad weeks.

I don't see why Green wasn't in for Davis, or even Murphy. Someone who might be able to hit a three would seem to have been a better choice, if only to draw a defender away.

I said the same thing.  I thought Green would have been a better option there.  Even if it was Delonte, if you score, Memphis is calling time out and you can replace him with a better defensive match up.

My bigger problem is that he continues to pull up on lay-up opportunities in his quest for the assist title.   With about 2 minutes left ray stole the ball and threw it up court to Rondo who was ahead of everyone but when he looked behind him and didn't see an assist he pulled up.  Tommy made some BS excuse about TA trailing him but Rondo is the fastest player on the court and there is no excuse for that.  It sickens me every time he pulls that move.  I hope he gets the assist title and then cuts that out in the playoffs but who knows.

I was out of the room during this part, but did he really do this?? And did this possession turn into a bucket for us?

I hate when he pulls this garbage.

Yes.

Me too, Man - me too!

MEM got this one...they appear to be better - at least defensively - without Rudy.

I expected a tough game tonight.

Hopefully, TA, Powe and Co can put forth this same effort against LA?

Boston will be fine, and so will our All-Star PG.

Rondo was out wide and TA and someone else were going up the middle of the court. They had the angle on him and were going to beat him to the rim.

That's being a bit generous. Rondo was clearly further down the court and anyone else in that position would have gone to the hoop.

Wow. Utterly pathetic.

I could not believe this one either. Rondo was 10 feet ahead of either guy and slowed down to look for an assist. Why, oh why does he continue to do this?

Yeah, if he'd gone up for a layup there's a good chance it would have been blocked, but he should have been able to dunk with no real problem.

While it does p--- me off that he does this, he could have been worried about yet ANOTHER goal tending not being called. Since we have had 3 in the last few games , and one that probably cost us the win tonight.

Should I go find a video of LeBron blocking Rondo from behind on the same kind of play?
