Throwing away the season

I'm absolutely not okay with losing to MIA. The only team I might be okay with losing to is the Bulls and that's only if they go on to win it all.

This team had HCA through the playoffs (save vs. the Spurs) in its back pocket. Getting rid of our starting center and destroying team chemistry eradicated that.

I just don't know what to think anymore...

Don't blame this on the trade.

The team was on track to get the #1 seed in the east even without Perk.  This is not about Perk. 

oh, this is ALL about Perk, who fit this team like a glove and the new guys, who don't.

I will never doubt this team. It's filled with too many gamers that know how to win when it counts.

Lakers/Celtics are so close that HCA is probably the tipping point. It's not the be-all and end-all though.

Just a shame to let LA claw it's way back in it after their terrible first half of the season.

People really underrate chemistry and how much it means (meant?) to this team. "Oh we were great without Perk at the beginning of the season."

...and? We all knew he was coming back. He wasn't GONE. He was part of the starting 5 who had never lost a playoff series. Of course they thought they were gonna have the chance to continue that this year.

We also had Shaq to hold down the fort in the mean time. Now we're waiting for 38 year old Shaquille O'Neal who has played 36 games all season to save us all the way from the end of the season until the NBA Finals.

As long as you add they have lost 5 out of their last 8 and had to struggle mightily to win the last two and that the offense stinks right now.

I completely get being perturbed by the quirky dynamics of this team at this point of the season, but all the same. The fact that we're in a spot that teams would kill to be in means there's no season being thrown away. We're two seeds higher than last year and the race isn't over yet. We're 2-1 against the Bulls and now we have a better bench. The pieces are slowly coming together and I still think this team is dangerous with a high seed and health. Why? Some people are using the word 'miracle' or 'one time only' to describe what that they did last year. I see it differently. KG was around to play for all the marbles. And now he's around to play for all the marbles HEALTHY. That, to me, is scarier than the Bulls. They're going to take away Rose's help and who's gonna be clutch? Booz? Maybe Deng? If you inserted Ben Gordon in the equation, I'd be more nervous. I don't think we can't be beaten or anything, but I see the competition and our chances are stong as ever. Those kinds of teams have to beat this team with KG in the lineup before I throw a white flag up.
