I mean, you've got one of the greatest clutch shooters in the game and the best three-point shooter of all time on the floor, and Big Baby and Rondo take the last big shots?!? What horrible execution and decision-making. Not smart basketball at all.

Lol, I was with you last year, but this year I really can't say I care about these losses all that much.

It's all good man the world beater Celts will be their just in time for play-offs.

Every time Davis attempts a 3 when we have 3pt shooters on the floor Danny should fine him. (obviously not really but I'm just saying he should NEVER shoot those)

Nenad Kristic is the reason we lost this. He's like candyfloss in the paint...

[dang]! Rondo really needs to improve his jumper/floater. Good win for Memphis. Oh well....

Gee, kind of an amazing stat of late.

all of the sudden, OKC is allowing less "points in the paint" per game and the Celtics are giving up more, as in a 2-to-1 margin vs Memphis tonite.

i can't imagine why that would be ??

because we're missing the player who was our starting center for the first third of the season when we were dominating in the paint?

he's coming back for the playoffs, though, don't worry.

. . . and we're starting to get back to where we were this time last year.

sure sign that we're ready for the post-season!

I'm amazed how people are so confident just because last year.

Let's talk about today: tougher opponents playing better, C's hoping Shaq will be back (Will he? in what conditions?). Just freaking scary to me.
The Celtic in me.

Rondo really needs to realize his limitations.  He took the most shots tonight, and went 2-12.  His shot selection is so poor and in crunch time he absolutely has no clue what to do.  I feel like his inability to shoot free throws really hurts his game because it limits him.  He chooses not to go to the hole and take the contact but shoot a 20 footer and brick it every time.  And why do we have BBD in the game when we're down by 3? Hello? Jeff Green? Troy Murphy? Pavlovic? West? SO many other choices but no, Doc puts in BBD to shoot a 3.

I wish people would STOP saying this. We are NOT the same team we were this time last year.

Rondo needs to see the bench next game.

lol ok, he was our best player for a large stretch of tonights game. But yeah go ahead and bench him. ::)

Absolutely. Need to make better decisions then the ones he made tonight.

So your answer to that is to bench him?! Doc would never do that. Despite the fact that he made some questionable decisions down the stretch, he still had 6pts, 11ast, 11rbs, and 7stls.

He also played 40 minutes, more than any other player tonight.

But yeah if you really want the 3rd seed by all means bench him.

While I agree it was odd not to have Murph or Green in, I guarantee you Doc never even came close to drawing up "Baby for three."

Stupid loss. I don't mind losing, it happens. But losing stupid sucks. A lot.

It's all good man the world beater Celts will be their just in time for play-offs.

Here's the thing that bothers me a lot about this end-of-the-year slump:

We were on track to hold onto the 1 seed and actually have HCA through the playoffs, unless we faced SA in the finals.  Now, because we couldn't keep up the pace for the last 100 meters or so, we're probably going to have to play without HCA in the ECF and the Finals (if we manage to go that far).

HCA WAS HUGE IN THE FINALS LAST YEAR.  Part of the reason we went out to get more depth and size and all the rest was so that we could try and actually have HCA this year.  It took a truly magical playoff run last year to get as far as we did without HCA for three straight rounds.  I doubt whether this team has that in them again.

If you want to win in the Finals, you really need to have HCA.

So I'm not so worried about what these losses mean about how good our team will be in the playoffs.  I'm worried about the fact that it will mean we'll be playing Games 1, 2, and (potentially) 7 against the Bulls, Lakers, Mavs or whoever on the road.
