That, in a nutshell, is why Rondo is no longer in the discussion with Rose. Makeable shot that HAS to be made. Inexcusable.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
omg.

was Baby jealous of Rondo and wanted to remind everyone that HE'S the bad-shot specialist on this team?

Even though he missed it I think that was a good shot by Rondo, he usually makes those.

A Rondo shot at the end of the game when you're behind is never a good shot.

thank you. Even Rondo can not see that

  • Rondo = Good
Nice play. What is that now, five losses in the last eight games?  This team is not ight

It's like we said earlier in the year, Vinnie; we shouldn't have expected the C's to be all that different this year.  It's foolish of people to expect a team with essentially the same core not to suffer from the same problems as they did last year.  We should all be happy they aren't as glaring.

We're still going to finish with a better seed and more wins than we did last year.  That's saying something considering all of our best players got a year older.

Ray was wide open the whole trip down the floor before Big Baby took that shot, and Rondo was looking at him the whole time ... terrible.

Right there Rondo that is when you look for the Captain dude!! eeish, its clutch man and you do not just toss up a runner.

Rondo has ignored Pierce this entire game.

The way this team has played since the trade...personally I don't think its worked out fully to what Danny had hoped.

This team is not looking like the dominant finals team of last year...

I mean, after this loss they'll be what? 7-4 or something like that since the trade?  It's not terrible, but it's clearly not championship like

Absolutely. Need to make better decisions then the ones he made tonight.

Gee, kind of an amazing stat of late.

all of the sudden, OKC is allowing less "points in the paint" per game and the Celtics are giving up more, as in a 2-to-1 margin vs Memphis tonite.

i can't imagine why that would be ??

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
It's just sad Rondo isn't even a threat to shoot out there.  :(

Rondo is an extremely limited offensive player.

It's kind of funny that there was a thread on the forum earlier today comparing Rondo and Nash, because while Nash has his problems he is overall a better player except when Rondo is playing out of his mind.  Nash can carry a team with his passing and his shooting, and his defensive lapses (which Rondo has too, a lot more than we like to admit) could be hidden in the right system.  Rondo is a huge liability out there a lot of the time.

Steve Nashes defense can't be hidden in any system.

I disagree.  Point guard defense is overrated in the NBA these days.  Derek Fisher is a huge liability against fast point guards at this point in his career and he is able to be hidden just fine.  Same could be said of Steve Nash if he didn't have Channing Frye and Robin Lopez backing him up.  Jason Kidd is also a large liability against fast PGs; Dallas manages just fine.

Last year in the play-offs every player, but Rondo went to work against Fischer. He is the Lakers achilles heel defensively. The best they can do is minimize the damage. Nash is a much worse defender than Fischer minus the size, he can't be hidden. If you swapped Nash for Rondo our defense would take a huge hit.
