Man, that was some epic acting by Baby, he took way too long trying to sell that. Luckily they airballed it on that trip and we got the ball back without consequence, miraculously he gets up and is fine the rest of the game.

Epic flop haha.

Taking an elbow to your face is a flop? Do you know what flop is? Take a look:

How is that a flop? Looks like pretty clear contact to Baby's head to me.

You guys are kidding yoursleves if you think he isnt flopping. Baby has perfected that art, you think hes gets all these charges by players overpowering him? He was clearly waiting for that elbow and contact, look at him.

Does Baby sit on the floor for an entire possession when he doesn't get the charging call?

Baby really needs to work on his acting, if he ever wants another chance to go to Hollywood.  He certainly has not grasped the idea of subtlety yet.

Oh, he was clearly hit, but considering he was basically nudged with the elbow, and his head went back like he was shot, it absolutely was a flop.  A flop doesn't necessarily mean there was no contact, just that it was embellished...and boy was that embellished.

When he is trying to sell it, absolutely.

Different degrees of acting.

Hit or touched?

A slight elbow isnt enough to throw babys head back and make him fall to the ground. Baby is a known actor and flopper

May have been a flop but I think that guys that have had solid concussions feel those hits more than you think.

It wasn't a "touch"...it was hit.

...and if you don't remember, he has a history of concussions.

Flop of the year?! No way.

I actually thought his tumble into the fans in Houston (a couple games before) was way more of an exaggeration than this.

But what does that have to do with whether he was acting or not?

The only relevant evidence is the video, and whether you believe the reaction was a natural reaction to the actual hit.  I personally don't think so.  I think there was a delay, and an unnatural flop.

Don't get me wrong, I think it was absolutely the right thing to do, I just don't think he executed it well.  I think he overplayed it, and made it look fake, which caused the refs not to blow the whistle.  If he had just reacted normally to it, or been a better actor, I think it would have been a foul, and perhaps even a flagrant.  My guess is in real time that his reaction was so over the top, that the refs thought he wasn't even hit, and was faking it, rather than just exagerating the hit.

Yeah, some stuff looks so much more harmless in slo-mo, doesn't it.
