why didnt carlos, murph and others not play? were they getting the night off because they played so much the past two games?  didnt care much for ray playing 44 min but nothing i can do about it.

Sure you can. Get your three-point-shooting in order so the C's can have you go in there and spell him.

I also only saw the 4th quarter.  This was an important game to win, so I don't mind the extra minutes for Ray.  I expect that won't happen to often down the stretch here.

Murphy is awful - he doesn't need to play, ever.

I was surprised about Carlos though, especially after Rondo's injury

So when Doc plays him you will be against it?

Not right now due to injuries, but if we get to a full bench again - Murphy should be left out of the rotation

Sasha too.  Doc's pretty quick in his decisions.

I'm guessing that he'll be in for shooting at the end of quarters and will see time if we have injuries or when Doc gets mad at Baby or Nenad.

I still believe murph and carlos will help us immensely at somepoint. i really hope they arn't just cheerleaders. doc in a way is alot like francona where he trusts his vets almost too much to an extent. thats not always good. but i still trust doc even though there is somethings i wouldnt agree with.

One of the analysts last night (can't remember who said it) theorized that Doc wants to play his main players to win games now and stay competitive and blend in the other guys during practice.  I think he may be done in the immediate future with trying to win while blending in all the new guys.

The game was as much a test for the starters as anything else. He wanted them to step up and say that they could beat a good team. As it was the starters almost blew it; but was a good win and a good move by Doc to say to certain players that it is ultimately going to come down to 8-9 guys and you need to make this work.

It might be that Arroyo has played in 55 games this year, while Delonte has only been back from injury for three games, and Doc thought Delonte needed the game time work and confidence more than Arroyo.  Delonte is going to be very important down the stretch, IMO.
